Juststarting:j well done on maintaining... But I have to say, I was thinking to myself last night that your calorie allowance was probably too low but I didn't want to mention it...
Thanks everyone for all your comments on my post last night, I'm great at the psychology stuff, just not so good at the practical stuff... Well, we all have our weaknesses, but I'm relying on all your strengths to help me along.
Victory I'm glad that you're trying to overcome your lack of self confidence - I really admire the way you always have a kind word and encoouragement for everyone on this forum. You really are a gift to all of us and we're lucky to have you for support and motivation. I can only add that if you catch yourself thinking negatively about any area of your life, challenge it and turn it on it's head... for example, if you catch yourself thinking you're useless... that's not true, if you were useless you couldn't have lost 4 stone in 6 months... that takes time and planning and dedication and motivation and .... sheer bloodymindedness. What wonderful qualities you have!:T.
I'm off to the gym now. (it's gotta be done!). I'll catch up on you guys later.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Victory- I shall join you if I may in trying to boost our confidance?
Absolutely;) I am using a visual of self confidence being one of those fairground attractions with the hammer and little green monsters pop up and you have to bash them quickly and hard, like delly says and everyone else arond me that knows of the lack of self confidence, I am a good person, I am bringing up two lovely kids, I did loose 4 stone in six months and I am determined.
So the next determined challenge is to bash the living daylights out of this lack of self confidence so that I CAN live life to the full for a change...challenge on, every negative has a positive and it is always better to live for the positive than wallow like I have in the negative.
petrichor let's all do it together, let's do one thing a week that is not normal for us, mine this week was to get a grip of the gate mafia and I have enjoyed it, I have been in my own little world, dressing up and facing them, head up, make up on, skirts on:eek: and being a different me, it is not so bad when you get into it, it has to be done to be liberated.0 -
Well done to all losers and maintainers :j and :grouphug: to anyone who had a bit of a blip.
I've started off my second week with a blip, two actually :rotfl:Went out for a meal on Tuesday which is unusual for me as I don't really enjoy the 'stuffed' feeling afterwards. 7 of us had a vote:
starter and main meal - 1 (me)
main meal and sweet - 6 (them)
As my sig says - I can resist anything but temptation! For the main course I went for the buffet (the salads sounded vile^^) and stuck to meats, 3 roast pots and half a scoop of peas. For the sweet I had treacle sponge pudding with lashings of custard
Yesterday wasn't much better and today, in the spirit of clearing things out of the works cupboard, I got rid of some marmalade. Unfortunately I managed this feat by eating it on hot buttered toast ><
Oh well. Back on course as of right this minute and I have until Monday nights weigh in to redeem myself.
Glad to hear Lois is enjoying herself, nice to see Honey pop in (althouth who ever was at the door must have been really interesting 'cos she never came back :rotfl:), some lovely inspirational posts by delly and suggs - I hope you get yourself upbeat again soon.
Victory and Petrichor - get those shoulders back, head up (literally - good posture is an excellent way of looking slimmer :rotfl:) and good luck with the new 'confidence' habits:T
I like the new way that the posts now automatically show all the 'smiley faced things which I can't remember the name of' and any highlights you do to the text. Saves having to preview the post and looks excellent.
I have a distrust of a long post going to the site when I hit send so I always, always, always copy the message so it can be retrieved if it doesn't post right. Plus by the time I've typed them the system has usually logged me out :rolleyes:0 -
I'm logged on in a public library, but as I'm not on my own computer I don't have access to the chart, so the 2 pound weight loss club is on hold this week.
May I make a suggestion in order to help the lovely Lois update the chart next week?
To save Lois trawling through two weeks worth of posts....
Can we, when we post our weight loss next week, include in the post the loss for both weeks?
For example - This Week I lost n lb and last week I lost n lb
Thanks

Me too! Please can I join?
I'm a 19 year old student , one year ago I weighed 10stone but a few weeks ago I weighed myself and I weighed 12stones 3lbs
I blame moving to Uni and the student/drinking lifestyle that I took on. I'm going to be healthier now, I gave up drinking completely for 3 weeks and had 3 drinks on Monday (diet coke + spirits) I think I may have lost some weight but haven't weighed myself. I used to be able to control my weight really well as well
I'm a vegetarian and i'm aiming to eat 6 portions fruit/veg a day which shouldn't be hard because I LOVE fruit and veg. I also work in Subway and we get free meals everytime we work, i eat salad sarnies and hav recently started eating salad wraps, no cheese and low fat dressing. I really want this to work cus I'm going to study abroad in Australia in December and it will be summer and i have never worn a bikini before!!
Thanksx

Off work again today, DD has got tonsillitis and wont be back to school for the rest of the week so I have had to ring in again for tomorrow off - Boss not happy
I weakened yesterday and had 2 kitkats then was really cross with myself - I had met a friend and was talking to her and her 4 year old son - He stood on my toe and I called him a cheeky monkey - he retaliated by calling me a big fatty - I was nearly in tears - so called friend just laughed. I told same 4 year old son I would knock him out next time I saw him :rotfl: I know he was only a kid but the comments still hurt, I dont consider myself to be "fat" just a bit overweight. Why is it when we are down about our weight that we do the completely wrong thing and come home and eat
I mentioned that I had re-joined SW this week, I need to motivation of the group as was struggling to do it alone. Asides the kitkat blip I have been sticking to it ok and drinking pints and pints of water. Unfortunatley I am out on Saturday night for a meal and on a hen night (staying overnight) but will try and limit what I eat/drink. I was ready to go back to SW and knew if I said I couldnt go this week due to hen night I would put it off again and again.
We are living at my parents at the minute so food wise its hard. Our house currently has no roof (yes, we've had the heavy rain and its now fondly called Noah's arc!) Its very stressful, to be honest I wish we hadn't started or had just moved house - I'm told it will be worth it in the end but its hard to see just yet......
I hope you are all doing well, I'll try and get back in for a chat later
Take care
Honey x0
