Right be prepared for a rant

Went to Boots and after last weeks debacle, the scales were still next to the counter. I stepped everso gently on the scales, inserted my money and gasped as the scales said I lost, then it changed its mind and said I maintianed, then I gained and when it had made its mind up I gained again  Even better when I got off the scales I noticed the scales then flicked between 0kg and 1.2kg with no-one on it

I mentioned this to the assistant, manager informed, engineer on call. I was so fed up I actually phoned Boots customer services to formally complain, something I rarely do.

Anyway I know I should have lost, Mrs Suggs has a set of scales, these normally weigh 2-3lb more than Boots. Today is the first time they weigh less than Boots. So hope prevails.

So I guess the upshot is that due to an inaccurate reading I suppose I better take a maintain

Considering the amount of drink and food eaten due the the three day rugby tour (binge) to Weymouth and the end of season Dinner (binge) I guess I should be happy to have lost anything, and I am, still cant stop feeling fed up.

    Rant over

suggs after what you have been saying abut the boots scales I moved mine slightly from the wall not so much the plug comes out but enough so I know for a fact they are on a level and it has done the trick, I only weigh there as I want consistency, I reckon you could weigh in on 6 different scales and they would all give you a different reading:eek:

Is there another boots that has the same scales that you can go to/

Thanks everyone for all the congratulations, much appreciated:A

Congrats to each and everyone of the lovely loosers, soon you will all look stunningly beautiful in your skinny jeans;)

I was watching how to look good naked last night about her complex with the derrier....mine is my stomach and I have noticed recently that I am becoming slightly obsessed with it, I must look at it in the mirror 50 times a day willing it away, it can't hear me and is not doing as it's told:rotfl: :rotfl:
That prog really makes you think how much time one spends bemoaning what nature gave us and if only we could let it go and enjoy what we have got how so much happier we would be:D

This will make you laugh....last night phone call from my mother (we only contact when absolutely necessary, I blame her squarely for my huge lack of self confidence) chatting away saying she had heard of my weight loss and how it was about time, then...."so then do you look like victoria Beckham a size 0?" When I said no that I did not have the bone structure for that and did not think that I would be able to get to a size 0 plus it is not particularly healthy to look so skeletony she interrupted and said.....oh I see so you are still fat then? How much self confidence can you get when all you get is that eh?:D

Ah Victory - I don't suppose that's helpful at all is it? You've done so well to get to your goal, I only wish I could achieve half as much.

You look as if you're laughing it off, which is great. I can see how comments like that could knock your self confidence, especially if made while you were younger.

Just remember you have done AMAZINGLY WELL, give yourself a bug hug in congratulations :)

  • Well I really need to get back on the wagon its been a month since I fell off and put on 1/2 stone so now need to lose 1 1/2 stone. I need to go back to writing down what I eat and the cals as I seem to manage best this way. At least I have lost 1 1/2lb this week so thats a good start :j

Well done to every one who has stayed with it and lost or maintaned.
The June challenge is it 5lb again? I think I need to add my name and do it this month.

Victory, you sure you mother and mine are not related, Mines Irish? Love her loads but subtle as a brick. Have to admit I did get a "I notice its starting to come off" a few weeks ago! But Victory you will be in your bikini on holiday in a little over weeks, and I am sure you will look and feel great :j

I keep to Boots for the consistency, its annoying that they have moved it. Since MrsSuggs moved in (the fool!) I use her scales and as I said there does seem to be a consistent difference in that her scales weigh 2lb more than Boots.

To be fair all this exercise maynot be helping either.
