Lose Weight 12

Annie,
If it helps you, I have approximately 90lbs (or 6 stone) to lose. Don't let the thought of how far you have to go get you down. That's the purpose of the monthly challenge. So, from now on, your goal is to lose 5lbs by Wednesday 27th June. That's it!
There's a simple solution to finding yourself losing your focus. If you feel a bad attack of the munchies coming on or think you might have a binge, post how you're feeling onto this thread. It'll help you clear your thoughts and usually put you back on course.
Remember too that everyone has off days. It's not the one off day that does the damage, but the rest of the week that follows before you allow yourself to get back on track.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Well we are running the same marathon then as I have approx 105lbs to lose. I agree with the small bits, more achievable. In training for the marathon!!! small steps to achieve marathon.
I hope we can be of some support and help to each other
Thanks BFN

hi Annie yes wednesday is weigh in or rather the chart is updated on a wednesday, I normally weigh in on a tuedsday at boots, same clothes, same time, same scales(boots) and it gets added on a wednesday....
You can stay focused ,we are all here to help you, it is achievable that is the first thing you have to believe, I put up excuses all the time not to address it and now that it has come off I think why did I not stop lying to myself and have it done sooner? It is worth it in the end..
Mixing and matching does not work so well for me, a weekly menu plan is best, takes the guess work out of what you re eating, when etc and the time in the kitchen is less, the less you have to think about food the better and always the golden rule is you only have 2 lb to loose and when it gets really tough you only have say 5 days to do, I talk to myself all the time, if I am having a hard time staying focused I remind myself I only have 3/6 days etc to carry on and do it in and loose 2 lb to achieve and anyone can keep it going for those few short days....:D
dawny your big night out? Eat before you go, drink loads of water in between drinks, keep the drinks diet friendly if poss, I have been out when I have been diet fed and watered and stayed focused, that way what you have been doing the rest of the day/week has not been wasted...
delly you are right we all have off days the trick is to climb back on the weight loss horse before it bolts, the guilt we all feel for having a lapse has to be put into perspective, we know we are all human, we know it is going to happen, just carry on from there and the damage will be limited rather than like you say if you get off and stay off the damage can only be major....0 -

Hi everyone - I am back from my Holland/Belgium trip and will now have to focus hard on getting back into my SW plan! I wasn't as good as I was on my Malta trip and confess to eating lots of Dutch Apple pie and drinking copius amounts of Belgian beer!, HOWEVER that is now done with and I will be back on the straight and narrow from today - honest, no I really will, well I will try hard!
Have only quickly scanned the posts since I came back - looks like a big congratulations to Victory for achieving goal!:j :j
Well done, you must feel so proud of yourself - and you deserve to! Well done to everyone else too, isn't it great how this group supports each other? It is almost like attending a daily meeting and getting your resolve topped up!
Will post my weigh in on Monday - not looking forward to it so much but I am not going to beat myself up over it - onwards and downwards I go!
MarionWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Mornin' All,
Sa1sysoo signing in to report a maintain this week, so unfortunately missed out on the May challenge...which means I'll work doubly hard to meet the June one! :j
Well done all the losers and maintainers and in particular many congrats to victory on hitting target! :T Your posts are always brilliant, and inspirational and goodness knows you've worked hard. Thank you for showing us all it can be done.
And good luck with the toning the tum... if there's one thing I loathe it's sit-ups, even though I know I should get used to doing them... Perhaps doing them whilst the telly's on will do it :rotfl:OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670 -

Morning
I weighed and was 3lbs less than I thought so that's a bonus in itself.
I have nothing to plan for this week except to up my exercise by walking everyday - I've promised myself. I just wish it would stop raining though - it's miserable here again.0 -
I'm celebrating this morning - 2lbs off, which means I've achieved the May challenge!:D :j
At last I've found the motivation I need, and it was such a simple thing - last month someone (I can't remember who - but thank you) made a comment that they wanted to have a yellow block by their name on the chart, and I thought to myself, yes, SO DO I. What followed was some serious thinking about how - and I realised that something had to change, so calorie counting was in and SW was out, and it worked
Well done to everyone else this week, whether you've lost, maintained or gained - being part of this thread means that your intentions are there, and eventually, little by little, we'll get there.
See you all later with the chart.
