    Hello all,

I'd like to join in for the June challenge, although I still aint got the courage to weigh myself... sad, I know, but I hope joining to the June challenge will start me off in the right track, so will get back with the info about my weight after I visit the chemist tomorrow ;-)

    Good luck to everyone!

Count me in. I have been on a determined weight loss since 8th January and I have lost 50 lbs as at today's weigh-in (!). I am still 60 lbs more than when I got married 5 years ago so I still have more way to go (I hate to admit to my actual weight). Can I also join the 'No more Pies Club' too? Thanks

Of course you can, I am member of no more pies, love it, fab support, funny your weight loss is exactly the same as me I started 4th Jan 2007 and have lost 50 lb to date, don't worry your actual weight is between you and you;)

So got to do this again.

Happy to report a 1lb weight loss this week. My mind must be frying with this - what day should we weigh and report back? Lost 6lb over the last few weeks and nothing I could buy (or eat!) could feel as good as that.
I dug out some old suits - oh yes those are the ones that do not lie - no elasticated/giving waistlines! Tried on an old pair of M&S jeans - kinda using M&S as a benchmark for size. I used to be size 12 a few millenia ago so hope to do so again maybe by the end of the year.
I keep trying to amend what I eat here and there - it all adds up. I had steamed rice today instead of egg fried and couldn't eat much of that. Read a good rosemary conley tipette - add a tin (or fresh) beansprouts to rice to bulk them out. As beansprouts are very little cals compared to rice. Good tip as beansprouts are quite yummy.
    Best of luck to everyone.

Hi Mine - well done for your weight loss so far, that's a great start. I post the chart on Wednesday night, so weighing in today is fine.

    Hi Guys
I've been lurking for a while but would now like to join if that's ok.
I will weigh in the morning as I believe Wednesday is your weigh day, am I right?
I'm not really following any set diet at the moment - just really following my own plan but once I get into it I may swap. Is it ok to swap eating plans for some variety? Or is it best to stick to one plan. I have an awful lot to lose and I will set small achievable goals as victory states in her 20 tip thread from the first page.
Do I need to do anything else?
What is this June challenge you are all signing up for?
Thanks guys - I hope you are all going to be the inspiration I need. MSE has supported me through other challenges but I am asking again for more support.

    Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all doing well so far... Oh, this is weigh in night (sort of isn't it?).
Day 1 has gone really well for me today. It's 10.30 and I haven't eaten anything I shouldn't all day:j.(unlike my OH who is systematically clearing all the high fat/calorie food out of the cupboard as I type - serious case of the munchies) I've got that just started a new plan motivation. Following the WW points system and have even gone so far as to write the points value of the food in the cupboard on the packaging with a magic marker!:rotfl:. I've also just worked out that my visits to the gym could earn me 7 bonus points per visit:eek: ( OK I know you're only allowed to count 12 a week but hopefully it'll show up next tuesday when I weigh in).

We've been trying to menu plan and budget OS as I'm hoping to cut my hours down to 4 days a week when I get back to work and it's definitely going to hit our monthly budget hard! HOWEVER, the advantage has been that I'm finding menu planning is helping me stay motivated.

I have a big night out this friday - 2 of my friends have won limos &VIP passes for 16 of us to a local night club... I haven't been on a girls night out since DS was born (he's 19 months old!).. I'm really looking forward to it but I'm a bit worried I'm going to mess up all my good work in my first week.

    Any advice?

    Hi Annie021063:hello:,

Welcome to the thread. Wednesday is the day that Lois Lane posts the results of our 2lb club.... Basically we set ourselves the challenge to lose 2lbs per week, there's more info on that in the first post too.

The June challenge is to lose 5lbs by the last Wednesday of June. It's bascially a short term but achieveable challenge for all of us. - Imagine, losing 5lbs per month in a year is 60lbs or 4 stone 4lbs!

A lot of people on the thread are going their own way, cutting out rubbish etc. so it's ok if you want to follow your own plan. Some of us are also calorie counting, following Weight Watchers or Slimming world. As for swapping plans, it's never done me much good. I know if I excercise more and eat healthier food I lose weight.... I have to say, I've been most successful when using the support of all the lovely people on this thread.

The only thing you need to do is follow your plan, post if you're having a problem and let us know how you get on.

Good luck with the weightloss and hope we hear from you often!

    Thanks dellybelly
I would love to join your 2lb club and also the June challenge
I'm very focused tonight which is great but my downfall is that this focus fades quickly and I lose my vision and just eat. Hence I have alot of weight to lose. So I'm relying on you lot to keep my focus.
    Thanks
    Annie
