Lose Weight 12

Petrichor - I lost weight during my first pregnancy too! I made the other mums in the maternity ward quite jealous by leaving the hospital wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans, and they were loose on me. There was hardly anything I could eat, I went right off chocolate, and smells like perfume, onions and fried food made me vomit!
Thanks for the ticking off about not weighing mid-week- I know, I know!
LL
You're all ganging up on me now aren't you :rotfl: :rotfl: I thought I was seeing things :rotfl: :rotfl: but as MrP reminded me, when I was expecting I could only eat ground rice/semolina and apples for the first 6/7 months because I had a constant queasy feeling, I was never sick just had the feeling that I was going to be. We quite expected the baby (DD) to have a stalk coming out the top of it's head. Although I did put on some weight it wasn't much and I soon lost it. When I started this diet in January I weighed more than I did at 9 months pregnant:o.
Well done heather :j :j
Hey thrifty I was wondering about you... ludo and scrabble...Oh! yes!...I vaguely remember those days
Don't worry, you'll soon get back on track what with all the good things that are now happening in your life.
Sylvester I didn't think that I'd ever meet someone who could compete with me for feeling so negative about theirself, but I may have met a serious contender in you(but I bet I win :rotfl: ). I have known MrP for over £% years, married for ££ (that doesn't look right! see keyboard) of them yet I still think that he doesn't love me but only stays with me out of pity and for the sympathy value. I'm not kidding. Now, about the snacking, this is a problem that loads of us have and we tackle it in different ways. For me it's a matter of doing things to keep my mind occupied and away from food.
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Total weight loss is correct.
Won't be weighing in Monday but will try and do so Tuesday and post again then.
Hi Katie - pleased to hear things are going well with your new man, long may it continue! :smileyhea
Just so I'm understanding this right, do you need to lose 3.5lbs to achieve the May target?

I don't know if i'm lacking something in my diet, but lately i've been getting lots of mouth ulcers and painful white head spots
They are only small, but I have 4 right now and they are making my whole right side of my face ache  and I have a headache again
Well done to all who are keeping on track and hope the bank holiday leads to NO temptation
Mouth ulcers are a sign of being run down, so it might be worthwhile taking some multivitamins with iron for a while to see if it helps.
I always think that a good balanced diet should give you all you need in terms of vitamins and minerals, but your body tells you when it's not getting what it needs - it's just a matter of knowing what it's saying!

Hello,
I found this thread by accident and reading some of your posts has encouraged me to do something about my weight. I went for a check up at the surgery on Wednesday and the nurse weighed me and it was really shocking. I have gained 3 stone in a year!! I know the meds I take virtually guarantee weight gain but hadn't realised how bad it was. I also broke my ankle in the winter and that put paid to most exercise for a while. My GP said I should 'eat less'!! I would like to join please if I can because I really need motivating.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hi All
I would like to join you all. I started losing weight in Jan 07 after having my baby in April 05. I stopped breast feeding at xmas and i had put loads of weight on.
My BP is high and i thought new year new me so the diet started. I have lost to date 10kg which is not that good but three weeks ago i joined the gym so hopefully this will give me the extra boost.
My first time at the gym i went on the stepper and i couldn't even do a minute. I was gasping for breath and sweating like a pig. Yesterday and today i did three minutes and didn't have to stop i was so pleased with myself.
Look forward to reading more in the days, weeks, months to come.
Bye for now

Hello poohbear & Quillion
Quillion do not thinkabout 9 stones that you have to lose, this advice has been given so many times but works, break it up into smaller amounts, eg lose 5lb by 1st July and remember that improvement you have made on the stepper, i don't think I could do 3 minutes on that.

I know what you mean i just break it down into 1/2 stones. At the gym you have to input into the machines in kilo so i have been working in those.
I will do it i want to lose 4 stone by xmas so just have to keep stepping. going to increase by 30 seconds each week till i can do 20 mins. i burnt off 86 calories in 3 mins think what i will do in 20. Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
Crackers can't be too bad can they? (Plain, no butter or anything)
Hi Sylvester - it depends what kind of crackers you're eating. Cream crackers don't have much nutritional value, and are quite high in fat - about 15% - which is only slightly less than digestive biscuits, which are 16%.
You could find something that satisfies your need for snacks which also has some nutritional value - Ryvita for example, which has fibre. Fruit and vegetables make great healthy snacks too.
I do think your doctor should be giving you more help, especially if there are lots of foods that make you ill. People do have food intolerances, and it may be that excluding the foods that make you ill is causing other problems.
