Look at what you have achieved so far, measure yourself before and after, put on some old clothes that you did fit into and now are too big for you, put loads of photos on the fridge, by the mirror of how you used to look like or ones from mags of how you want to look like with that wedding dress on, write a food diary, a thoughts diary, remember why you are doing this, you have done so very well, a huge shame to ruin it now, if you feel terribly bad and can no longer go on take a few days off and start afresh on monday with all the inspiration and motivation intact.
Look in the WW mags they do some lovely recipes, up the exercise, drinks lots of water, keep active, just look at you now to how you were....

    Hi Everyone

After a couple of busy days (my code for disorganised!)...

...I firstly want to say 'thank you' to dawny and Suggs for the info on the 2in1 cross trainer/exercise bike. I've persuaded MrP (aka 'Ol'TightWad' :p ) that one of these would be useful but he suggested that I stick to the cheap one first just to see how I get on with it; so if it turns out to be noisy I'll use it when he's trying to watch the telly :rotfl: serve him right :rotfl: It should be delivered today as I paid for next day postage, but it's getting rather late now. I agree with the pictures Suggs, they are somewhat posed but the thing that made me laugh was the description - Moves easily from room to room - or perhaps it's just me :D By the way LW means Lose Weight as in I Wanna Lose Weight 12 Thread, sorry, I think everyone can read my mind...

... and well done both of you on your weight losses this week :j ...

... be back later I think it's here

...I notice that daysieblue hasn't reported with the update on her procedure I hope everything's OK and that thenottaggedsmiley16309xl9.gif has subsided :rotfl: ...

...bindiboo I loved those smilies and I'm not too proud to admit that I've copied them to my file. I've been a bit wary of smileycentral as someone said that there was a risk of spyware etc with them but I must assume that that isn't the case. Well done on loss of inches :T I can't find my tape measure this week only a metal one, so I can only confirm that I'm still 5'3":rotfl: ...

    Hi

    I'm new:j

Is anyone out there in the same situation as me?

My last daughter was born in January. Pre-preg I was 10st 5 (ish) and eating very badly.

Whilst pg maintained that weight by simply eating a good healthy diet (so as baby got bigger - I got smaller).

Got back into my Size 10 jeans immediately after giving birth ... weighed 9st 4 and felt great.

Problem is that breastfeeding makes me so hungry and it's not a hunger that I seem to be able to satisfy .... also I'm not eating good stuff - but alot of sugary foods and chocolate:(

Not only do I feel guilty that my diet is not as good as it should be whilst b/f but also I have put all the lost weight back on in the 4 months since having my daughter:o

My L/O is the youngest of 4 and I've had the same problem with appetite whilst b/feeding my other daughters.

I don't want ot go on a restrictive diet but just stop eating the sweet rubbish that I constantly crave.

    It's getting me down and costing me a fortune (£3>£5 a day:eek: )

Would be so very grateful of any suggestions

(hope I'm not hi-jacking the thread and apologies if I am posting in the wrong place)

Welcome newbies Evergreen, Kel, Mrsctobe & Peanut Pie (peanut - sorry, I can't help with the bf thing. I only lasted 2 weeks ).

Well done Honey on SOTW.... and well done everyone else who has had a loss/maintain this week.

Thanks Lois for putting me onto the 2lb club again... now I really have the motivation to get going. I feel I've been procrastinating on starting to make healthier food choices this week. It's been going well at the gym but I have to confess, I won't achieve the 5 times a week that the trainer wants me to do. I think I've managed 3. (not bad for a couch potato). I am aware of what I've been eating... and cut down massive amounts on previous weeks. I just need to up the fruit and vegetable intake and I'll be sorted.:T

Honey did you see the Stephen Nolan show on TV last night (Norn Iron thing)? I didn't realise he was trying to lose weight - I had half a mind to ring him up and tell him to sign up to this thread - he doesn't need Adam Cary or some Sgt from Bad Lad's Army. We've got all the support he'll need.

Going to take DS for a swim tomorrow.... and so starts trying to make my lifestyle more active:j.

    Enjoy your trainer petrichor!

Hi Peanutpie - I don't really know about what effect breastfeeding has on appetite etc, although I know that it is supposed to be the best way to lose the baby weight. Is it possible that there's a hormonal link between b/f and craving sweet foods as can happen during pregnancy?

I'm not sure what advice I can offer really, apart from focussing on the fact that you want to be size 10, and reminding yourself of that when you're craving sweet things.

Also, remind yourself that you've done really well to keep your weight down - pregnancy often results in carrying extra stones, never mind pounds, and once the little one is weaned, hopefully the cravings will pass.
