Funnily enough I was going to ask the same question, I had porridge this morning, does this mean I should weigh it out?

well, personally i'd just look online for the cals in the amounts you use. i.e. 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk etc... however much you used and whatever measurement you like to use...and add it up.
does that make sense??? sorry i cant be more helpful, i'm no good at measurements personally so I tend to do things in handfuls, tsps, cups or slices and then just try to match it to the data on the website. My own little method!:)

    Excellent chart Lois!! :D

Well done Ishtar and any others who completed the race for life!!

Well done all losers. See you all tomorrow for Weigh Day!!! (like pay day except you hope to have less Pounds!! Lol :rotfl: )

Thank you for the feedback on the site that I'd found. I've just created an account as well - now it says I can have 1600 cals per day :j I think I'll start off slowly and see how I get on, browse around and earmark foods I eat most off.

How do you calorie count your home made food?

Once you have an account there is a 'recipe analyser' which you can input all the data into and it will work it out for you.

i am not here (again!) and am working hard (honest!) but feel cr*ppy. revision + totm cramps and cravings = sad kat
OH cooked dinner (bless) and i've dosed myself up with ibuprofen and energy drink, still feel rubbish tho. Exams will all be over saturday afternoon, and i can't wait (gonna get SO drunk to celebate!) but thinking about it just makes this work harder to get on with. Ugh.
Sorry 'bout the rant, OH is nice and supportive but is too cheerful about it all and it's making me cross!!

Argh! Not a good diet week at all - only 1lb off.

What do you mean, not a good diet week? If it were my pound, I'd be chuffed to have lost it.

Just think of it this way: if you ONLY lose one pound per week, how much will you have lost in three months? Do the maths and tell me your opinion.

    Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well. I weighed this morning and yippee bl**dy yee I've lost 3lbs. Already think, ah well first week and all that. So did a bit of running (and I mean a teeny bit) and walked down the stairs at work. What a great feeling. Suddenly it doesn't feel so out of control. However, like others here I am thinking, right when can I go for a swim, walk, just move myself. My scales also show % body fat and yikes I'm not telling, but suffice to say it's making me look at the % fat info on foods.
    Best of luck everyone.
