I'm 42, my husband is 62, FYI. I have a disability myself but don't consider it affects my mobility, not all disabilities do (though it does disqualify me from me driving - I don't see that as discriminatory by the way). I do appreciate the information given here (even though some of it misleading and confusing) - but not the patronising attitudes or suggestions for using other forums, I'll use whichever forum I choose thankyou very much Stroma.
The suggestion to use other forums is for you to get further advice, it wasn't meant to sod off away from here!!! And FYI I and others advise people to go on pepipoo very often. Now you are not accepting what we are saying at all, we have provided multiple links and patiently have explained to you again and again and again about the realities of non regulated parking in the UK .
But you've thrown it all back in our faces, and basically are insulting our intelligence with this, I'm not being funny here, but we do know more than you on this situation, that is not demeaning you it's just that you don't have the knowledge we do. We don't always agree on things but on this we agree fully.
Private companies cannot punish you for an alleged breach of contract, they cannot issue penalties.When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Ok, fine, thankyou Stroma, I've never said I know more about this, so thanks for your help, I don't want to argue, it really is too tiring. I hope that if these penalties are always illegitimate, under any circumstances, then the companies, and the landowners who issue them will both be stopped. Thanks for your time.0

It highlights the bay, not the medical condition of the person.But making a disabled bay highly visible, with a picture of a wheelchair painted in it and bit yellow marks painted round it, is highlighting a disability too.
and my 'problem' is that when I go out with my disabled husband we have a lot of trouble finding a disabled bay to park in, because they seem to be used (in some instances) by people who aren't disabled.0 -
