I'm up early sorting some paperwork/emails in peace with lovely female cat sitting on my desk.

    Happy Mothers Day.

    Caught up with flying yesterday.
    Bedroom done.
    Dailies done.
    Washing done.

Want to get some shredding done today. Slowly going through Mums stuff even though its been a few years. Couldn't do it before.

Valli Oh that brought a tear to my eyes that you have remembered. I'm always thinking of her and it was only the other day DD and I were having a laugh about a certain memory.

Just seen its snowing here. Oh well I've got some chocolates, a new mug for my cuppa and a book. What more could I ask for. Saw DD yesterday as today she is going to her ex MIL and they are visiting her ex FIL who in intensive care.

Have a lovely day and for those whose Mums are no longer here. I'm thinking of you.

Boddy Good that you're becoming able to sort stuff; I know my Mum had lots of things from her mum that just went into the attic and only got sorted last year. Grandma left us in 1994...though she had dementia so I always felt I had lost her much earlier IYSWIM, so much so I didn't cry at her funeral - but at least I knew why. In fact I don't think I ever wept for her loss.:o One of the things was my Mum's Grandmother's big pie dish. I have it now - goodness knows why I keep it.

Only me awake here but I have lots to do.

Morning all and Happy Mothers Day :j

I'm still sitting in bed having had tea and toasted hot cross buns and hand made cards from DD's; lovely :A

:rotfl: that made me chuckle thank you :) The only reason that most of my house is tidy is because the study aka 'I'll put it in there to sort out later room' is full to bursting! Not much of it is mine though so it's hard to just sort, file, bin all the things that I think should go.... I'm hoping that as the rest of the house is generally calm and sorted that DH will get on board and take action; I've got paint and new curtains ready for when we get round to clearing the room.... One day soon I hope :)

I suppose I should get up and dressed.... Maybe have another cuppa too ;)

Had breakfast in bed, lovely. Then managed to drop tomato on my duvet cover  ah well at least it won't be seen cos I got the underside ;)

Having a lazy day until I go out for lunch with Mum. Might do a wee bit today just to keep on top of things.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday :)

Hi there and Happy Mothering Sunday for all those mums out there and Happy Sunday to all. Personally, I think anyone who nurtures, be it a child, pet or friend, can feasibly grab a 'Happy Sunday' vibe!

I was spoilt by my lovely DD, who is such a super girl, and I shall be using her gifts later (one will ensure I have the gentle scent of a lightly fruited candle wafting calming fragrance over me!).

We have flown today, and flyladies, I have even mopped!! OH hoovered through, I did 1 x WM + TD, dusted, cleaned both bathroom and kitchen, mopped conservatory and kitchen floors, generally tidied round and made a nice chicken dinner and rhubarb crumble. Unusually for us we ate our main meal for lunch, as tonight we'll watch the skating final and just have a few snacks, so we can really relax.

I've had a nice time since lunch sorting out three trips we are going on in the spring and summer, and have really enjoyed that!

Both cats have slept since around 11am, so it's been really peaceful!

I do hope MrsMcGibbs kitty is doing well - he sounds lively if he's after his food! Poor little sausage, I hope he soon recovers.

Much love to all, R x

Since getting home I have hoovered through, made tea and err nothing else...hangs head in shame....need to do DW,tidy kitchen, get babyd to bed....Put LOs jammies on,feed him and get him to bed, tidy LR and then maybe get some me time....OH out till at least 3am with the coach so will be nice and quiet xx

    Mummyyof5, she is so lovely:).

Thank you for showing us this photo, what a treat. X

  • Had my hair treat, glad I didn't pay for it as the hairdresser listened to how I part my hair and then proceeded to dry it in the opposite parting  DSD bought me the voucher and I used it even though I don't use that hairdressers anymore. Just proved why I left them ages ago!!

    :D

Don't you just hate it when they do this! Scream!! I always say that I'm not fussy, but please DO NOT cut my fringe short as it looks awful. And what has more than one done - more than once! I look a b@gg@r with a short fringe!!!

I'm like you though, I don't go back again!! I hope your hair looks better now!! R x
