Evening everyone
Well done abundant on keeping the rest of the week low. And the big spend wasn't a big wasted spend.
Beth - good luck with sorting your budget.
DD265 - well done on that run of NSD's.
Well for me.
Spend day yesterday, had to top up with petrol (from savings) after visit to hubby. So will be red this week, but haven't had to take it from my main account, which is good.
Also 60p car parking, £1.30 for bunny treats. £3 into leaving collection for colleague.
So spends are at £74.65 / £95 (weekly budget) & £52.55 (extra petrol)SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Sunday: bought a cheese scone and 2 malteser bunnies on the train home £2.75

Hi redballoon and welcome
Think everyone includes slightly different things....I include everything that's not groceries, petrol or direct debits. Some people only include spends that aren't budgeted elsewhere. Trick is to decide yourself, post on here (to keep you on track!) and then keep a note of what you spend. It's fun!
I've managed not to spend anything today :j. Big spendy day tomorrow though as it's my day out at the races. Budgeted though and looking forward to it (hope my remaining budget is enough to get me through the day)
I'll be back on Sunday to report the damage :eek:SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

Thank you for the welcome.
Great , count me in for next week then! This week was the start of me contacting step to change so some big changes for us uphead. I already spend virtually nothing but want to do this challenge to keep me on track and to check on myself that im not actually spending more than what I think! Im guessing around £5 a week on non essentials if that (im a stay at home mum)
For money earnt is that physical money ie ebay etc?

Hi redballoon
I believe the challenge was initially set up to include only incidental spends, spends on the items that we 'waste' money on without thinking about. To help us keep track of spends that are not budgeted.
However it really has to work for you.
I tend to include petrol, groceries and miscellaneous spends, but set separate budgets for these areas, and keep a separate tally.
Some people just set a very minimal budget for this challenge as they have other budgets elsewhere.
I'll be setting up next weeks thread tomorrow, so come back and let us know your budget then.
Edited to add I started this post ages ago and got waylaid so its all been said, I'll add you to the list tomorrow.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

He's not too bad, thanks. Well he's in pain and he's fed up and hobbling around on crutches and doesn't really know what's wrong.but other than that....
He's been signed off for two weeks but he's home for good from afghan which is obviously a good thing. Hoping he'll be at home now until bab arrives although dont think he'll cope with 10 weeks at home.
Thanks for asking.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Ooooo just want to share my success story. So on top of my £15 gift card this week from n3w l00k for crappy customer service, I phoned the AA yesterday to cancel/ renew my breakdown cover. Renewal was £136, could get almost like for like through quidco for £144 and £50 cashback so £94.
I called them told them I was leaving and rejoining as it was cheaper but he said he would like to keep me as a customer and I also get other benefits as a long term customer. So he did my renewal for £95. :j :jSPC 18 Target £200 /0
