Reduced bargains and yellow stickers shopping

The retailers cottoned on to this with their EPOS systems years ago - there were times in the past where I'd been paid to buy 3 items so most now exclude these (or at best maintain them so best price becomes the 3 for £10 price) - is there something on the yellow sticker or offer POS saying clearance items excluded ?0

This is not just a M & S issue. I'm sick of seeing so called reductions such as £4 reduced to £3.50 when part of a 3 for £10 deal or similar. Surely you could have swapped the reduced item for another of the same with longer sell by date.0

Would obviously have done that if any were available, told no stock available at that time.Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come!0

Hi all
Popped to Tesco yesterday afternoon, car park was full and the shop was a bit of a nightmare to get around but I did very well with the bargains. As you all know it's a case of being in the right place at the right time. Lots of meat, chicken fillets, turkey fillets, cooked chicken had been £5, down to £1, heck sausages had been £3 down to 40p, and so on. Total of all in full price would have paid £50.49 and I paid £10.31, all in the freezer. Happy lady! :T0 -
The reductions to 9p each at local Morrisons are still going well for me. Got around £25 worth of stuff for 99p yesterday0

I've worked in supermarkets and they don't have a concrete time that reductions get done. It all depends on many factors. The manager doesn't hand out hand held terminals and printers at certain time to the staff and shout "go go go".0
