If you work for a supermarket - staff get the best bargains. I stocked my freezer up on quality meat from end of day bargains.0

I find Morr*ons best for Y'S bargains, there isn't an A*DA near us and T*so sometimes reduce, other times not. I only ever buy what I know will be used though, some things are hugely reduced but they are often ready meals, which we tend not to bother with.
My OH is cross because Morr*sons has had the audacity to move the reduced section. All of 3 yards.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -

Pmsl how very dare they!!!
Il try morrisons in the opposite direction. You see we have a tesco 2 miles away, asda and tesco 3.5 miles away and the morrisons 3 miles away. So il try there next I think.
I also got veg packs reduced from £1 to 10p and grabbed loads as we get through lots of veg. So it's all happily tucked in the freezer. No chopping veg for me this week. :TDs2 born 3/4/12 8lbs 8.5:j

I always cook up my bags of chopped veg into soups and stews, put into margarine tubs and freeze. These are my ready meals.
Don't fall into the trap of grabbing more than you need. Just because it's cheap is no excuse to throw it out because you haven't eaten it before it's gone off. If your freezer is full eat the food before you go again, no need for a second freezer. Check dates and condition every day, twice a day, eat what will not keep very long, first.
I need to go tonight, my fridge and freezer are almost empty.

I must confess that i adore YS shopping, you never know what you may get! It is like a game. Though i do have to disipline myself to rotating what is in the freezer. most of my experiences of other ys shoppers is good, often we all look comical waiting patiently for the prized yellow sticker machine to whirr into action.! x0

A good haul last night, although they don't do 90% off any more, 75% off is still ok. I pick up mainly fruit, veg, salad, and deli. I noticed they were clearing the shelves of last day bread, they support Fair Share charity and it was being packed up to go there.

I ended up doing some YS trawling late last night on the way home. I hadn't eaten all day and really fancied some cheese scones at whatever price
. None left in the M&S bakery but bought some YS milk (which I did need), some fancy cheese (which I didn't but slung in the freezer) and some bakery croissants.
Unsatisfied, I proceeded to Tesco en-route to the tube station....where I found their finest cheese scones, massive boulders of scones reduced from £1 per pack of 4, YS to 60p. So I bought loads, most are now nestling happily in my freezer. Great summer lunch warmed with salad. So £10 in total spent unexpectedly on YS goodies.
I had my bloods done today and decided to do a shop - again on an empty stomach and also gasping for a cup of tea - in Aldi at lunchtime, to last for the next 9 days. (It's just me plus Mum and fridge-raiding neighbour, and whatever little the baby decides she want to eat). A large trolley full of fresh fruit, veg and dairy cost me just under £20. I know which is better value.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
