Reduced bargains and yellow stickers shopping

Husband has had digestive issues recently so switched him to gluten free. £3 for a loaf  Do supermarkets often have a lot of gluten free bread yellow-stickered ? Any particular supermarkets ?
What works in one place, isn't necessarily true of another. I used to live in a large conurbation and I'd get the odd bit of gluten free in the large Tesco's and Sainsbury's, but very rare. I did better in the small Coop.
However, since moving to a more rural town- Sains is next to useless and the Tesco Extra in the nearest big town has a dearth of g/f stuff at silly prices, frequently. However I still find the small local Coop doesn't have the turnover and so always has GF bread on YS. M&S has the occasional treat, very rarely. HTHMinimalist

Hi all, hope its ok if I join you? After my mum bought up 4 children as a single parent I have been bought up with a large percentage of the food shop being yellow stickers and reduced items - we call it the skanky basket as people used to think that the food was skanky but as we all know people are more up for buying reduced items. It is now the same for me and the hubby as I have the skanky bug and can stalk the man or lady with the reduction gun for hours much to the annoyance of the hubby.
So I have come back from Asda and not a bad haul but have done loads better - I got there about 20 mins to late but then again I do not normally go on a Wednesday.
Scallops were over £6 and I got them for 80p,
Bread for 10p a loaf,
Yogurt 10p for a pack of 6House purchased November 2013
Original MF Date: January 2045 - £104,400
Current MF Date: April 2030- £48,719. 750 -

Thanks Wizzbang, had no idea that Co-op did gluten free bread, we have two small stores in our town so will have a nose.
On Monday I visited a new Marks & Spencer and bought a 400g sliced loaf for 2.99  plus the last two 535g Genius brown sliced loaves at Sainsbury's for 2.90 each. Gluten free bread is horrendously expensive so I was pleased to get some YS GF rolls at Sainsbos for 1.49 although that's 49p more as YS than I used to pay for 4 organic seeded wholemeal rolls full price at Sainsbury's !
My mother does have a rummage in the reduced section and she found me some organic English apples too :T0 -
got some bargains
cherry tomatoes 300g £0,10 x 3
bag of bananas 800g £0,10 x 2
fresh leeks 400g £0,18 x 2
grapes snack pack £0,05 x 5
fresh prawns 180g £0,35 x 3
finest 12 mini Scottish salmon & champagne en croute £1,80 x 3 (still took 3fo2 so got one free, so it still works on reduced items but it deducts reduced price not the full one as it does on 3 for £10 deals) not a bargain but wanted to try themJan GC £66,82/100 Jan NSD 17/31; Feb GC £71,67/100 Feb NSD 14/28;Mar GC £81,82/100 Mar NSD 16/31;Apr GC £99,54/100 Apr NSD 14/30; May GC £127,20/100 May NSD 12/31; June GC £70,05/100 June NSD 17/30; July GC £47,52/100 NSD 05/310 -
did well for my lunch today. I have a small Tesco Metro near my work so popped in there for some lunch from the reduced sections-
potato skins (warm but very nice) 45p was £1.80 (I think)
Moroccan cous cous salad £1.48 was £2.50
some deli cheese thingys 63p was £1.29
So got my lunch for £2.50 instead of £5.59 (when items at full price)
must say I have done this before, if I go into Tesco for lunch I do head to the reduced section first, its hit and miss as usual but normally I manage to get something at a good price, Im eating it that day so why not!:money::rotfl::T0 -

really nice bread reduced to 15p, its crammed with seeds, really nice but sually nearing 2quid, so another treat.
this is my best lot of reductions ever. probably wont get it like this once the store knows roughly how much of everything it needs.
