  • Our Mr T. rarely gets stuff down to pennies, but today I got some Finest ham down from £3.00 to 45p - used with other meat in a stirfry. A Finest Butternut squash, honey and sage soup was down to 35p from £2.35 (now in the freezer).
Finest Melton Red Ale and Mustard Meatballs down from £2.00 (normally £3.75) to 35p. Also freezable, so frozen.

reduced gluten free bread (which is expensive) and i eat healthier than others i know for half the price.

Husband has had digestive issues recently so switched him to gluten free. £3 for a loaf  Do supermarkets often have a lot of gluten free bread yellow-stickered ? Any particular supermarkets ?

I have got reduced GF bread in Tesco and Sainsburys recently. Have also got reduced loaves from waitrose and seen them in M&S (not a fan of theirs) Its hit and miss, I cleaned up a few weeks ago, but not seen much since. Just have to get there at the right time.

Today from Mr T Express I picked up:

    - Three packs of Richmond sausages for 50p for all three
    - Two chicken chow mien ready meals for 39p each
    - a crispy shredded duck ready meal for 77p
    - chicken gouging for 77p

I'm not usually a ready meal fan but have learnt I need to have them in or we want to buy take away/eat out which we can't afford.

Last week (also from Mr T [Express and standard])I got:
    - Two chicken pies for 99p each
    - Two chicken mini roast for £1.60
    - Two packs of two hunters chickens for £2.62
    - Three packs of Tesco finest sausages for £2.70 for three packs
    - Two salmon en croute for £1.60

    From Waitrose:
    - A Higgidy vegetarian pie for 55p

We've got some tough times coming up financially so I'm really counting the pennies!
