That's impressive Marris, I wished my local T reduced that heavily!

I did get some bargains on Saturday night though

Big packet of chicken thighs 75p
    Turkey fillets 56p
    8 rashers of bacon 38p
    Salami 33p
    2 tuna steaks 84p
    Muller light yoghurt 10p
6 XL free range eggs 30p
    Packet of cooked chicken 51p

25.18 worth of goods for 3.77.
    Still pretty good going :)
  • I shop at Morrisons mostly and been on a low income like most families in Britain I have turned to relying on my freezer and reduced foods...and fair to say my other half and daughter haven't complained...Tonight i did a quick shop as my other half is currenttly on work placement there so went to meet him and the reducing had begun, i do a couple of wonders around the shop to eye out any bargins but with tonights haul i have to say i am not ashamed at all......in total i paid £9.18 but the normal retail price total came to £43.20 I am quiet amazed....Does anyone else live by the reduced label?

  • I love the reduced section and there are now some things I refuse to pay full price for. Sometimes it's a hit and miss with timings but when I get it right it can save us so much money. Last week I got,

    500g lean pork mince
    450g turkey mince
    700g braising steak
    4 boneless chicken thighs
    hovis wholemeal loaf
for £2.16!!! That will do us around 2 weeks dinners!!
  • I think its fab and its amazing what you can get at the right time....being a young family and caring for my mum like most families moneys tight but its a brill feeling walking out know how much ive paid tonight i got:

    x2 pks spring onion
    x2 honeydew melon halves
    x2 pks salad
    x2 pks leeks
    x3 blueberry muffins
    x2 pks cream cakes
    x1 pk vegetables for soup
x1 pk turkey steaks (bernard matthews)
    x1 turkey goujons (bernard matthews)
    x1 4pt semi skim milk
    x1 pk steam puddings
    x3 mozerella cheese
    x2 tubs sour cream
    x2 loaves of bread
x4 pots of summer fruit snack trifle

I paid in the end added up £8.97 and retail price of the lot was £43.20
Very chuffed!!!! Not as healthy as planned but thought I did well...x
