Yeah, I mainly meant meat and dairy- those kinds of higher risk items. I could care less about dates on fruit/ veg and other things like that when you can easily see when they've gone off.

Great shopping in Waitrose today, 19 items (all reduced to 19p - 65p) including 2, curries, 3 rice, 3 sides, 4 loaves, milk and other bakery items, total £7.55 but the multibuy offer on the curries took £3.65 off so it only cost me £3.90 that's just under 21p per item! :D
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Not too fussy, but I won't buy coleslaw etc as in the past I've found it's gone "fizzy" on the day already, I also won't buy prawns (say in a sarnie) or other seafood that can't be frozen of I won't eat it that day. Try to be fussy on which/how many bakery products, as have also had some go mouldy very quickly and have to be thrown away.

My luck was in today. Got a pizza (the very one I wanted but couldn't afford the full price) at ½-price yellow-stickered in local Co-op today. Happy days!

Best luck I've had in weeks! :j

Sainsburys - stupid how their stores open 9-7 on BHs, yet they are dead after 5pm. As I popped in on the way back from work at 5:30pm, I got chatting to the girls as they were bored out of their mind and Head Office need to look at the sales figures and adjust opening times on BHs accordingly.

OK back to the YS. Good job I came in as I had nothing planned for tea. Mushroom stirfry pack 40p and stir fry lean beef strips 75p. Got some extra lean diced lamb with tomorrow's date for £2.50. If Sainsburys have a lot of one line with the same date, they reduce it the day before to shift it.
