So far I am impressed with RM - still in the process of setting up my business account, yesterday i got home to find a note in the door from RM to say someone had popped round as a courtesy call to see if I needed any assistance and would I like a customer visit!0

good one Alex, I am still waiting for the call back.
I phoned yesturday, and they said as there is such a back log, their call back time has now gone to 5 - 7 working days...Work to live= not live to work0 -

I was lucky then to get it set up so quickly.
I am getting the new version of PPI's so can't use them until 2nd of April, and I still don't have the mailing sacks but other than that I am good to go!
Could do with a customer visit to talk me through what I need to do though!0 -
I'm in the same position as Cooltrikerchick - was told that the OBA sales team are completely and utterly swamped with requests! In the meantime I have to decide whether to have a lightning sale on my more bulky-yet-light items in a bid to shift them before the price increase, temporarily use myhermes for a couple of weeks, hold them back until my OBA is in place, or just hike up the postage cost on the listing and see what happens. Having had a delve into the listings of most of my competitors on those particular lines, I see that not many of them appear to have business mail accounts either - so maybe it will be a case of who blinks first!0

thebestnamehasgone...... is it normally a good profit line??? if it is it might be worth holdinf back until your account is up and running, pitty to have a blow-out sale, when sitting on it for a few more weeks could get you your normal profit margins..
I am listing things which are 'slim':D so not to be caught out, until I can ( hopefully) get a OBA up and running, as by the sounds of it, even if I get a phone call today, and get accepted, it going to be about 2 weeks before it will be up and running...Work to live= not live to work0 -
This morning I had another email from Ebay announcing the RM price changes and letting business sellers know that changes are being made to the requirements for an O.B.A.
So I imagine there will be even more interest now...

Once again the exemptions on the small parcel have been ignored.

heres RMs spin on the intranet siteCustomers are becoming more aware of their choices and their expectations are changing. Features such as tracking and proof of delivery are becoming increasingly important.
That’s why we’re updating our product range for business contract customers, and our range for small businesses that use Post Office or franking machines and consumers.
Choice
Customers told us they want their choices to be easy to understand. They want a range that meets their needs depending on a number of factors including if the item is urgent, valuable, requires proof of delivery or they simply want a great value standard service.
As part of the update, we have changed some product names such as Recorded Signed For which will now be Royal Mail Signed For. For business contract customers using our Standard services these will be called Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail 48 instead of First Class and Second Class. This helps business customers understand the delivery timeframes. For consumers and small businesses, we will continue to call our Standard services First Class and Second Class.
Our simple parcel services will help customers pick the right service for their needs, and go live from 2 April.0 -

I love the line "Customers told us they want their choices to be easy to understand".
How did they take that to mean we wanted prices to rise and would like a few extra measurements thrown in to complicate the matter and cause bigger queue's at the post office :rotfl:0
