  • Does anyone know what the 'code' for the 1st and 2nd small and medium parcels will be, e.g. currently 2nd class parcel is 2PK, 1st 1PK.

I put stamps to the value on my parcels with the relevant code and description, e.g. '2PK Second Class Packet' - just wondered what this will be from 1st April.

    Gary.

Does anyone have a business account with RM?
I see that minimum requirements are dropping from 5000 LL and pkts to 1000 but RM will not speak to me until after 2 April.
Are sizes staying as previous for business users?

I don't have a business account (yet), but have been talking to Royal Mail today about their new Royal Mail 24/48 service. Based on the prices, for this service the increases in price would be 1p for 2nd class (48) and 23p for 1st class (24).

Entry requirements for Royal Mail Tracked also dropping to 1000/year.

Hi guys, what an interesting thread you have here

I've got a little problem on my hands and hope someone here can help me?
I need to find a cheap way to return them, PO say £27

DS bought trainers from USA (never again ) They arrived on the box says US size13 (good) inside said trainers said UK 11

I've fought with them and gone through paypal to get them to agree to a refund :j

My problem is I have to pay postage to send them back

    Details are

    Weight 1.75 Kilo

    Width 36 cm
    Length 26 cm
    Depth 16 cm

Any ideas out there please ? I will need to be able to track them too.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

The cheapest under 2kg will nearly always be Royal Mail.

Just bear in mind that tracking isn't guaranteed outside of the UK with them, but is better than it used to be.

You could try a courier such as transglobalexpress, but I would have bet there's not a lot in it.

They are setting up an O.B.A. account for me now so you should be able to get through.
Prices from April are here for business accounts:

Agreed. They told me they can set up the account now, to start on April 2nd. Cannot start earlier, as service Royal Mail 24/48 is replacing (Packetpost) has 5000 entry level. Same goes for Tracked (unless you meet the current entry level of 2000).

Saw the new template at my local PO today. Letter slot at bottom, then large letter then slot for small parcel (8cm depth), nothing for larger parcels or 6" cube so I imagine they will need their tape measures.

I was rather afraid of that.

Our local post office has the new template, but he'd actually no idea about the 6" cube exception! (but he's also no idea about accepting parcels if I sign up to Royal Mail 24/48)

Mine neither. Not looking very hopeful at the moment.
