Hi, I would apply the 1% to the principal, so in your example of £30 min payment with £25 interest and you pay £35 then the £10 goes to your 1%.

Thanks so much for thinking of me BBI suppose I am a busy bunny most of the time. I had just seen that there are lots of people adding posts and they aren't being added to the list etc. so I thought I would offer to help. You probably are right though - may be more than I can manage at the moment.:)

I'd like to start this challenge again for myself from scratch as I have a new goal and
i'm in a better financial position to take part.
I'd like to save £2,000 in my Emergency Funds & in my rainy day fund.
My 1% would be £20.00
I've started the process by listing things I don't want on Ebay today.
