    Hi everyone
This is my first time on these forums. I am extremely low a fed up as I'm in a huge amount of debt. I really want to change this and I've been reading lots of posts in the forums all day. Please can I join this 1% challenge?? I have a lot of debt to different cards and loans so I'm going to start with the card that I'm paying interest on as the other two are 0% for now.
My 1% for the card I'm paying interest on is £33.69 so for me that's my starting point I've already printed the list out and I'm already planning a car boot with a friend to be able to raise enough to pay my 1st or possible even 1st and 2nd 1%
I am so ashamed of myself for getting into so much debt. Like I say this is the tip of the iceberg my goal is to pay off this card before the other cards 0% interest runs out then hopefully I can move some/all onto a new0% transfer card and start the 1% with them cards I think it's going to take me a lot of years :-(

It might seem like it will take forever, Popstess, but you have already taken a massive step, and watching your percentages go down will be a massive motivator!

I'm now at 45% paid off my third target :)

  • Hello everyone!
I love this thread, it's very inspiring. Thank you to the person/s who set it up. Amounts I am aiming to achieve are huge:( so I have break them in half and then half them again, if that makes sense.
These are, thankfully, not cc or loan debts, we used to have a huge amount in debt which we managed to pay off but as I defaulted on some of my payments I was left with a really bad credit rating. So in order to have a better chance of remortgaging (we are paying 3.89% interest on the mortgage:eek: )we need to bring the amount down by quite a lot.
I have also joined the make £10 a day thread and the November grocery challenge for a boost. I am on maternity leave atm with 2 under 2 so any help/ ideas are welcome
This is becoming an essay sorry:o
Can I also join in please?

    Goal 1 £ 3000 1% £30
    Goal 2 £270 1% £2.70

I can't figure out how to change colour /font fom my phone.:o

    Hi bilbodreams, welcome!

I don't think the original post is updated with numbers etc anymore, but a few of us still come along and update our percentages, so feel free to join in!

I'm at 59% paid on my third debt at the moment :)
