Hi all,
I'm new here and would like to join this challenge as I feel repaying 1% of my debt at a time is the best way for me to tackle my debt.
I owe - wait for it and it was more than I imagined - £8,192.64!!!
Barclaycard £7,861.48 (6.8% for life)
Argos £220 (0% June 14)
FTB CC £110.16 (13.9%)
It feels so much to repay when I look at the total amount but broken down into 1% bites of £82 it is manageable.
So my total rounded up is £8200 & 1% is £82. These are my figures.
I have repaid over £23k from 2007 to get here but am finding I am struggling with this last amount so am joining to get support and stay focused on my goal.
Thanks.

Argos 0/£220

Happy to post another £85 made selling on eBay, straight off to loan overpayment making it 12% repaid so far on overpayments. Next week with other overpayments will take it up to 13%.

Hi All,
Hope everyone is doing well and had a good Easter.
It's pay day for me (woohoo!) so my new total is:
Member #198 £7,414.13/£8,731.92 (84.91%)
But two amazing things have happened because of this:
1. I no longer owe my mum ANY money for the first time in 7 years!
2. I tweeted Martin :money: to tell him this, he retweeted my message and lots of people have 'favourited' and even said well done!
The end is very much in sight for me and I can't believe it! Just over 15% to go!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

So great to see all these totals adding up! Well done folks
53% now paid off my overdraft. I was making smallish overpayments to my 2 credit cards but now cut this back to £5 (as well as the minimum payment). The overdraft will now be paid off by October '14 and cards will be cleared by next June."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo
