Hi all, not been on in a while as needed a rethink. Have 4 credit cards so tackling them one at a time instead of one large lump - has been far more motivational as for debt #1 1% is now just over £35, which feels far more achievable. Have cleared 73 of those pesky %s on that one so far. Tis gonna be slow going now though as now have to pay all household bills myself (instead of half) and have had to write off a loan to a family member who, due to ill health, won't ever be able to pay it back (was paying me in monthly instalments). So long story short, I'm down £650 a month  oh well, onwards and upwards. Has got me really focused on where I'm wasting my hard earned £££.
Thanks to everyone on this thread0 -

Easter hols going past too fast here! Have been busy every day with ordinary stuff, DDs (almost 8 and coming up to 2) have been helping me in the garden (and playing) and doing craft stuff in the house. Monday we had to go to a nearby town to the dentist, older DD then spent quite a lot of her pocket money on a 'Top Model' folder at the toy shop, but it seemsto have been worth it as she loved it and has been busy with it every day since until yesterday when she finished it all! On the way home we stopped at an aquatic supplies shop and spent an enjoyable time looking at all the fish.Yesterday I sold a small piece of furniture and the lady paid extra for me to deliver it (quite a distance) so to make up for dragging the girls out in the car we stopped on the way home at a farm-park type place (a big farm shop and garden centre, but they have some animals to look at and a children's play area; all free). We looked at the animals and the waterfowl on the fishing lake; the water was clear so we could see the trout and also the diving ducks swimming about underwater, which was fun. Older DD met some friends and little DD enjoyed watching everything. Then we played for a bit at the playground and rounded it off with a ride on the carousel (spent a bit of my extra petrol money on that), felt like Mary Poppins! Today we will be cooking and making stuff, older DD and I are part-way through using some scraps of fabric to make curlers (inspired by this) which she is desperate to try out!0
