I'm doing well on over paying the loan.

One loan is paid off in Sept and then the final loan I'm overpaying on I reckon I can pay off in 18mths from now. I originally thought it would take until Feb 2017 and then realised the interest added will be reduced by the overpayments and this brings the settlement amount down.

I'm saving up to overpay, selling on eBay which is quiet at the moment and sendiing any overpayments I can at the moment.

5 months to go for one loan and I can't wait until that one is settled and paid off. Then that amount can go straight to pay the final loan off. Certainly glad I took to the step to pay it off myself early rather than take a further loan out and saddle myself with more debt. All means I can pay my remaining debt off earlier than a consolidation loan I was offered 18mths ago by the bank to pay the credit cards off. Really glad I decided to pay it off myself.

With the final loan I never imagined at the start I could pay this loan off 23 years early by overpaying, now with all the overpayments I've made of small amounts, I realise I will!
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Good luck with the tax savings sarah. My dad was always self employed and my parents never seemed to manage to save the tax and were always in arrears. It's so stressful so I hope you can do it :j

£100 paid off so 2% paid off :) Think this is going to be addictive - especially with the 100 square to colour in!

    Hi guys.

Trying to have a cheap-ish Easter break with the kids, so far we had a day in on Monday. Tuesday we went to costa, the park & got easter crafts at Home bargains at a cost of £11. The Zoo today (we have an annual pass, was £1.50 for a cup of tea) and then we made cakes and watched DVDs this afternoon. Tomorrow we will see the kids Nanna and Great Nanna (Granny) at our house so another no spend day :) And Friday we are going round to a friends house YAY pretty cheap week all in all.

How is everyone elses Easter break going if you have young kids?
