I think possibly the slow down was after the 'converged core' migration, not the Sky buyout. Either way I'm out of here as soon as my 12 months is up!0

Has anyone had any problems with their direct debits since being granted free broadband? First month I was invoiced for full amount so had to contact O2 who adjusted it in time for the direct debit coming out, but this month the full amount has come out so again I've had to contact them and now they say the discount will be applied to next month's bill. Is this going to happen every month?
Aye this happened to me and despite promising to sort it out it continued to happen each month. Get on the phone to them and tell them how annoyed you are that you have to keep contacting them each month. I think they've *finally* sorted mine out now, but i'll still keep an eye out for next months bill0 -
The move to Sky has taken place today. So far on wireless I'm getting 3.6mb and 0.5mb upload. This is down from a typical o2 speed of 5-6mb and 1mb upload minimum.
I hope this is just testing speeds/evening congestion otherwise I will be disappointed.0 -
I have seen a speed increase of over 1MB today.....but loads of drop outs.....0

May have jumped the gun a little. Sky say in there welcome email that on the first day speeds will be up to 4mb...with an increase day by day as they test the optimum speed. Fingers crossed it gets better!0

10 day DLM period. Don't switch your router off.0

What is the best deal(s) for broadband for those of us who do not wish to stay with sky broadband after they honour the o2 contract?0

As most will now have 11 months free till then, best wait and see what's available then.
(And expect all sorts of inducements to stay with sky - whatever you say about them, they do good retention)0
