Sky buyout of O2 Broadband

ALL ISP's charge a connection fee. Some just choose to absorb that fee and give free connection.
Any fee paid would go towards paying BT Openreach to connect you at the cabinet/exchange.0 -
I was also offered a years free broadband from 02. But as they have just rolled out fibre to the area it was never going to happen.0

I joined o2 because I have nothing and I thought I had a good deal at getting 12 months half price broadband + £200 to my mobile account... .Now looking here and thinking, damn!
My bro has o2 broadband which is linked with my Mums mobile number. Would he be able to get 12 months free with £200 to her mobile account I wonder?0 -
O2 have managed to go out with a bang and prove what a bunch of incompetent jokers they are.
We initially accepted 12 months with O2, then they announced the Sky buyout. We called them and cancelled on day 10 I think of the 14 day cooling off period in O2's T&C's. (I have everything noted down, dates, name of the person spoken to etc).
This morning O2 try and bill me for £92 for early cancellation.
I cancelled within cooling off period, I am not liable for an 'early cancellation fee'
We'll see how this pans out. They wont be taking it either way as the BB DD is cancelled. Play awkward and the rolling phone contracts are being cancelled as well.0 -
hello....
Where should the £200 credit show online? Cant see it on either my broadband or mobile accounts?0 -
Mine isn't showing anywhere either 16/03/13 i did mine0

Does anyone know if the 12 month free broadband/£200 mobile credit offer is still available or am I too late now? I didn't bother investigating earlier as I'm in contract until 3 May.
If it's not then it looks like I can get a cheaper deal with Tesco broadband and giffgaff mobile (only stayed with O2 to get my broadband discount!). I guess I need to ring O2 and tell them that and see what they offer...0 -
maybe O2 customers should consider Titanadsl see press release here http://news.yahoo.com/titanadsl-offers-alternative-sky-broadband-o2-announce-sale-100220380.html they are offering o2 customers an alternative and a little bit cheaper.0

But the link on their site to the "02" based services isn't cheaper!
http://titan-adsl.co.uk/home-broadband/home-unlimited/
Their cheapest unlimited is still £16.99
I get that for 9.50 at currently on legacy 02.0
