I started a new contract on 14/1/13 but still got 12 months free when I asked for my mac code last week......

I'm on paygo, and have not topped up since 23/12/12, I've already got the free 12mths. :T

I'm just waiting to see if I get a reminder text about needing to top up.

Anyone else gone over 3mths and not topped up?

According to what I've seen/been told, it's no longer necessary, just curious.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Once you are on the free 12m deal, it should no longer be necessary to top up quarterly to get the £5 mobile discount, as your broadband tariff is already discounted to zero.
So, if you are doing this purely to get the £60pa mobile discount, that's another £40 saved on your PAYG spend.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I agree with what you've put, that's as I understood it.
I was just interested to see if anyone had actually gone over the 3 mths.

  • I phoned to cancel as I was at the end of my contact and didn't want to risk going to Sky. I've now taken out new 1 year contact with O2 which gives me free unlimited broadband and a £200 credit on my mobile bill :)
This sounds too good to be true :)

Sky have bought O2, so you'll be going to them anyway.

Did try and move via TCB to BT Infinity for £202 cashback and £50 voucher. However it tracked at zero and TCB confirmed it would more than likley be declined.

Rang O2 again tonight and got offer 12 months free and £200 mobile credit.

Fingers crossed will get offer of fibre when they switch to Sky

They did say I could terminate if Sky increase bills by more than 10 percent.
