  • Sounds there is something wrong with your data held on the ER / your CRA files, or there is an inconsistency with the data you use in your application forms. Just 1 digit difference can throw up a request for verification.

I just opened my latest account online in about 10 clicks. Waiting for it to be approved now. Anyone got any tips on how to set up the standing orders and automate the process? Best dates to do it etc.

Just need to take advantage of the £100 switching offers out there now.

Just a quick question guys. if you're applying for more than one account, is it best to apply using your 1st account details or start from 'scratch' using a brand new application and when they ask you online if you have an account with nationwide, do you guys put yes or no? can you just put no or is it going to go against you?

Also how does this effect your password log-in with people that jave multiple account. does it show all account linked online?

    Thanks.

You need to answer honestly to all the questions on the application form, including 'do you already have an account with Nationwide?'.

Big problems if you start lying on finance applications.

All your Nationwide FlexDirect accounts will show up on the same online login.

You can apply while logged in, and then you don't get asked the question.

Already having an account may affect what overdraft they'll offer you, if you've already got one. Doesn't seem to have any other effect.

If you're going the TCB/Quidco route, then you have to go with the flow, which means you're using the not-logged-in application. When you get to the question, the danger is that if you say yes, they'll say "Log in" and this will disrupt the tracking. My plan in that case was to abort and clear cookies and start again and fib. But so far as I remember, I said yes and nothing bad happened.

They linked me up to online banking OK, but they sent me a new telephone PIN, which didn't happen with logged-in applications.

Opened FlexDirect middle Sept, paid in 1K on opening and 1K today. Checked and can see no interest payment yet. Is the interest applied immediately om opening or wait for whole calendar month?

My interest gets paid on the last day of the calendar month. This is for two accounts opened not simultaneously.

    From where?

Paid in from external account, not between Nationwide accounts.
