    Hello all!

I wondered if any of you had seen this? Perhaps good ways to get your stash down by using stuff to make other products...

I've just made the sea salt shampoo but I need to use a thick shampoo next time as this hasn't really mixed lol! My own fault for using one that was watery!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: re Lush. They just lost me permanently as a customer. How DARE they?!!!
A sizeable chunk of the vast amount of money the racing industry generates in towns such as Chelters goes into their coffers. Racing provides jobs, generates income, boosts exports... and all they can do is pull stunts like that.

    $£^$ them.

My first UU of the challenge!

I finished my bottle of Garnier Minerals roll-on deodourant. WBA, but only if it's on offer. I have 3 other bottles of deodourant kicking around for now, so no replacement just yet.

Accidently spilled the last few drops of a gift pack bottle of Angels and Demons perfume. It has about 2 days left tops, so not too bothered. Probably won't buy it again, it was a nice enough perfume, but I have others I prefer. I have about another years worth of perfume to get through first anyway!

Nobody in racing wants to see horses injured; the constant silent prayer when every race starts is 'Let them all come home safely'. That includes the jockeys of course.
Horses can be hurt out in the field, on the road, in the stable as well as on the course. They are bred to race and they won't do it if they don't want to. Our Rummy ended his racing career with an injury on the training gallops. He is doing very nicely at his new home and recovering well.

TBH I'm one of those people who doesn't take sides until I have all the facts, and I hate people pushing their views on me, every story has two sides, I'm in no way 'for' cruelty to animals but people will use an isolated incident i.e. a horse getting hurt to represent the 'bigger picture' when it bears little or no relation to the actual truth.

Everyone spins things these days to suit them, as if Lush scaring people on animal testing isn't leading to them going 'oh btw, we don't test on animals' and driving up their own sales? They're disgusting if they think they're in any way helping the cause, they're just lending credence to the notion that campaigners are loose cannons who will do anything to get their own way and will only take respect away from the people who are campaigning in the right way, making no fuss about doing so and aren't turning it into a PR stunt for their own greedy gain.

Rant over. Wow I don't know WHERE that came from.....:o

More OT, I have some things to report:

TA - Sanctuary Brightening eye gel 15ml, it had gone well over the 6 month opening period and was starting to annoy my eyes. WBA though.

    UUs
Chanel No. 5 Eau de toilette sample 2.5g - Years old and no longer smelt of chanel, I have a pomander in my wardrobe so I soaked the sponge in it and it smells lovely.
    Oral B Toothpaste 15ml
Tresemme Healthy volume shampoo 900ml - WBA as it's incredibly good for such a cheap price, but I have tonnes to go through yet!

I've been reading the posts today about Lush with a great deal of thought and I think Kadison is right, I've drafted a letter to send to Lush HQ. Unfortunately I've ditched the horse racing leaflet so can't remember which organisation it came from. Interestingly that campaign isn't mentioned on the Lush website (although the anti-greyhound racing one is), so it's possible it was a branch decision to stock the leaflets? Either way, this story isn't over yet.

Agree with you mcculloch - nobody wants to see horses injured in racing, and it's a bit rich of Lush to take that stance when like most other businesses in this town, they benefit massively from the extra income that race week brings.

Oh my gosh! I'm so excited to have found this thread! :D I am a total make up/body product hoarder and would like to keep track on what I have rather than just adding to it and not using anything up? Is it too late to start on March's challenge? Should I wait til next month to start? xxxx

    Have some uu's:
Super drug B pure micellar water, I've never used this type of cleanser before, and to be honest l'm in no rush to use one again, this left a sticky residue which I really didn't like, WNBA

Thanks for posting your review of this product. I thought it was a toner not a cleanser so am glad I didn't buy one.

OK, so more birthday ins, all Elemis as myself and my two good friends who I met up with yesterday share the love of this brand.

    Elemis Duchess of Spa set
Elemis Time for you skincare collection

That is 10 items in for those two sets and there was a free gift which we shared between us so another in of Skin nourishing milk bath.

    Not expecting anything else now.

I have quite a few of those Elemis products myself. The Time for You Kit is very similar to the Elemis Christmas TSV with the exception of the Bliss Capsules. Enjoy. xx

Have caught up with thread now over last few days. Welcome to newbies. Can't really add anything to the Lush debate other than saying that I agree with others that just wandering into the store gives me an instant headache, then being pestered by staff puts me off totally. I've bought the odd Ma Bar from them but that's it. Don't like the lack of packaging!

My Body Shop order arrived today and I'm really lusting after Emma's Mango kit. Will have to "share" that!

So 2 INS for me in the shape of Almond body butter and a bath lily.

have repainted my nails and am wearing OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. Am really hoping that QVC do/don't stock the new Oz colours on Friday. I've seen that they have one of the mini kits ready to go to air but I don't want mini bottles.
