When people want these sorts of things banned they dont realise thd side effects: no horse racing means loss of thousands of jobs and revenue for the country. Which means they cant afford to keep the horses and so the horses get sold on for meat.
The exact same happened to the hounds when they banned the hunting. They were either sent away to france to keep the bloodline or they were put down. So technically they willl be part responsible for the deaths of many many horses if their campaign is successful(Im not saying if hunting and racing is right or wrong...thats another topic altogether).

Just needed to get my bit in about that side of it lol.

Well I went in "my" Lush this morning - so two ins - Curly Wurly shampoo, and a small bottle of Slammer (incidently - is it true that Poole is the only shop that you can buy the retro items (as well as online!) Tokki??

Two sales assistants - a lovely American/Canadian girl with long pink hair who was incredibly helpful, and a short plump dark haired girl who when i asked about how the campaigns work got told "well thats the idea of Lush - we get up peoples noses and !!!! people off to raise awareness" - not entirely sure thats the right attitude to have.

Still, my one is currently on the death row and animal testing round, so I dont feel too bad about buying there, I think its just going to be a case of going in when i need shampoo and if theres a campaign I dont agree with, pointedly complaining and walking out :D

havent decided wether or not to visit the one at Cheltenham tomorrow yet ;)

Shocked to read about Lush on here - sounds like people have had awful experiences and I don't agree with them shoving campaigns down peoples throats either.

Next time I go in there I will have a look to see what my local one is doing and perhaps challenge them about it. Like someone else said, I am particularly concerned about them putting leaflets in peoples purchases without asking and little children seeing these.

    Another UU:

51: Cowshed Moisturising Hand Cream - This was a gift with a magazine a long time ago! Really liked this and like that it has more natural ingredients in it. Sunk into my hands easily.

Now using a S&G Hand Food that I received in the swap. Thought I ought to use this up first as people have said that it goes off quickly. I really love the smell of it. Thanks swap buddy :D

Doooooo it :D I'm feeling particularly cranky today after being kept awake for much of the night by next door's racegoing lodgers - who were so drunk they were incoherant and incapable of finding the right house! Had to call the coppers in the end. Tempted to go round and torture them with all my Lush products :D

I posted on Lush's Facebook page about the leaflets last night but havn't had a response, which is irritating.

:D you can. The nice american/canadian girl said ours was the only shop where you could - I just wondered if it was a big fat fib :)

Where do you live Catriona ? I'll pop round and serenade you ;)

I'll second that Catriona, although I'm husky as hell. It would be an acquired taste :rotfl:

I am super proud of myself. i went back to TK Maxx today and walked around for a good 15 minutes with the set of 10 mini OPI nail polishes (which was this one for £20 http://www.hqhair.com/opi-best-of-the-best-mini-collection/10540070.html ) before putting it down and going to the till toiletries-less.

I then came home to an Yves Rocher booklet and a 1ml sample of serum vegetal 3 dazzling cream :wall:

Well done to people resisting temptation, I know how hard it is.

    I have a uu
No7 Hot cloth cleanser - have another one or two of these in the stash but for now I have replaced it with a Sanctuary Spa one. I WBA as it does the job and is good value even without a voucher (or it was last time I bought one).

I received a sample of the Elemis cleansing balm in the post so I will try that out tonight I think, it sounds lovely but the price puts me off.

RougeyLawyer I don't think I could have resisted those OPI minis, but well done for doing so! I saw the OPI American road trip(or whatever the collection was called!) in TK MAXX for only £7, I only didn't buy them because they looked like they'd been opened :( Oh well I've confessed to how much nail polish I have which is more than enough so probs for the best! :D

I'm deciding wether to pull my make up draw out and make an inventory of it all and then post the list on here....
