Dior diorskin sculpt concealer - I can't believe it's already been over 2 years since I had this. I would totally rebuy this! It was very good at hiding my blemish scars

I'd love to be considered for the Boots Panel. I am a Boots Addict.

And have 5 Kheils samples Inns to declare. It was so cold on the way to the supermarket and a nice warm shop offering five freebies and a skin consultation. Well, I didn't stand a chance.

I have a UU!! yay;-) FCUK body spray, seemed to last forever as it was a full sized bottle, really like the smell so WBA
I have now got a very cheap perfume out of the stash so I've no idea what this will be like....will give it a go!

Studying at the mo so only got a chance to skim through the thread but I do enjoy reading all the tips and advice:-)
  • I would contact the manager of these shops and speak to them and tell them how you all feel about their sales approach. They would appreciate the feedback :D

I did this once. I was in Lush with an overly confrontational sales assistant, who picked up on my Body Shop carrier and asked to look at the item I had bought. I thought nothing of it until he started lecturing me Body Shop's L'Oreal buyout, and telling me how everything was tested on animals. He then proceeded to describe animal testing on the eyes of rabbits in particular.

As a longtime fan of Lush, someone who was hugely against animal testing and actively sought products that were against animal testing, I found this guy's attitude towards me revolting. I try to hold myself to my preferred standards but sometimes that just isn't always possible amongst everything else that goes on.

I left the store in tears and humiliated, putting down more than £30 worth of products rather than purchasing. Later the same day I went back and asked to speak to the manager, who proceeded to make me feel small, simply excusing her staff member's attitude as 'enthusiasm'.

I can honestly say I haven't been in that store since, and have only bought from Lush a couple of times in the 6 or 7 years since. I grew up with the brand (the factory was just down the road from my childhood home) but I just couldn't forgive a sales assistant trying to shame me in that way.

    Still upsets me now tbh.

Any bad experience with a company puts us off as customers and it usually only takes 1 member of staff! Ive only ever had good experiences in my local LUSH shop and find them helpful but also happy to leave me alone when I say i'm just looking. A real shame for you but i totally understand......Ryan air will never get my custom again for treating my daughter badly!!.....When will big companies realise the importance of customer service!! AAGGGHH (my pet hate!!:-)

right I'm back off to study LOL

Fanta lip balm WNBA there are better lipbalms - I suspect this one may have been through the washer in my daughters coat as there was just a tiny unusable chunk remaining when she went to use it last night.

Two UU's for me this evening..

Radox Shower Scrub Fig & caring neroli oil - this was quite nice, had a pretty scent and the scrubby bits were good for everyday use. So WBA if it became non-animal testing approved etc. :)

The other UU is an old No7 travel size bottle of toner I've had for, well, too long! Only used it off and on so not sure if I WBA - just glad it's gone!!

Hmmm Lush,,, I've often been patronised when I went in, or, more accurately, felt patronised. (By middle class students serving me who don't need a Saturday job, but have it because it's Lush.) Then there was the woo-ha when they supported the extremely dodgy Hunt Saboteurs' Assoc. and I felt obliged to boycott them on that account, they eventually woke up to the fact that it was a mammoth PR blunder.
Lush products are overpriced, still have dodgy things like SLS's in, go off quickly and don't always work well... But they sell in vast amounts.

rogueylawyer - That's dreadful! I avoid Lush but for other reasons, one, your sense of smell gets so overwhelmed you can't smell ANYTHING after a couple of minutes, but mostly because they never let you browse, they just hound and hound you until you buy something or like me, leave in sheer exasperation and go into boots instead!

    I have some declarations....

NBI - The Body Shop Love Etc. Body Butter 200ml, from my ebay stash.
GA - Ted Baker Body Lotion 200ml, horrible stuff smell-wise, far too strong for me personally so will put it on freecycle.

    UUs
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 30ml - WDBA, HG product, have more in stash!
    Kleenex Make-up wipes x 24 - WBA, they're very good!
Soap & Glory Clean On Me Body Wash 75ml
Ted Baker Body Souffle 300ml - WNBA, can't stand the smell!

Also I am getting near the end of another foundation, I may have an IN soon as although I have more of this in my stash, I think it might be time to think about moving onto my spring/summer shade of it, this one's starting to look a bit pale!
