An IN for me last night - Batiste Deep & Dark Brown straight replacement for a UU

I'm also going to keep a look out for any Glamour that might still be in the shops with the Percy & Reed No Oil Oil and get another of those - my hair is a lot calmer and smoother for it, with no flyaway and not a hint of greasiness.

I can't believe its Sunday night already, where do the weekends go?!

A guide to alternative uses for certain toiletries:

Many of us on here have too many toiletries and are trying to cut down buying anymore. In a bid to use up what many of us already have, we often use certain toiletries for uses other then what they were intended for. This is a brief guide on alternatives uses for certain toiletries. Please feel free to add your comments and views:p

    Creams and Scrubs
Creams for certain areas of the face and body can be relegated to other areas, the key is to remember to always down step.
    For example
    • Face creams can be used for hands, body and feet.
    • Hand cream can be used for body and feet
    • Body cream can be used for feet
    • Foot cream could possible be used to really dry areas like elbow and knees.
Try not to step up with your creams as often the creams for lower body parts are richer and thicker then creams for the upper body parts.

    Shampoo
    Shampoo could be used for/as:
    • Shower gel
    • Hand wash
    • Cleaning hair brushes
    • Cleaning make up brushes
    • Cleaning the bathroom, kitchen etc

    Conditioner
    Condition could be used for/as:
    • Shaving cream for legs
    • Soothing areas where you have already shaved, i.e under arms and between the legs :o
    • Fabric conditioner for clothes (use in your washing machine at your own risk)

    Shower Gel
Shower gel could also be used for/as:
    • Shampoo (Be warned that it doesn't suit all people)
    • Hand wash
    • Bubble bath
    • Cleaning bathroom, kitchen etc

    • Face washes can be used as shower gel and its alternative uses.
    • Perfumes and body sprays can be used as room and linen sprays (Just be warned that perfume often goes stale after spraying)
    • Facial and baby wet wipes can generally be used as a damp cloth to clean around the house
    • Soap can be cut up and used to wash clothes
    • Nail varnish remover is great to remove permanent marker
    • Nail varnish can be used as part of arts and craft, i.e often i use clear varnish to set gems in my jewellary
If anyone has any other ideas please add it to the list, hopefully we can think of some original uses

See that's what puts me off going into Lush, they pounce on you and then they just won't leave you the hell alone! I want to look, I don't need advice, everything has a chalk + blackboard sign and I CAN READ! :rotfl:

I also find this in Lush. I know they are only doing their job but I would much rather look around and test things and ask if I need help. I have been really put off testing Benefit products at the counters. I may try at a nearby town and see if that counter is any different!

Maddiemay - hope you are on the mend soon.

Valm - that shade is very pretty.

    Have two uu

Elemis tri-enzyme facial wash - loved this and have already re-purchased it. Am moving onto a Sancuary face wash for now though.

Maybelline Anti-ageing primer - does the job but is quite pricey for this level of brand, I have replaced it with a No17 photo flawless primer.

  • Typical, first proper day on holiday and I feel rough as a badger's backside. Or maybe his lungs, it certainly sounds like TB with the hacking and coughing. Could just be a cold, but why risk it?

It's OH's birthday so we've had a leisurely lie in, he's opened his presents, and now we're off out for the day. Hope everyone has a good Monday x

Wow this thread is flying by this month

    :bdaycake:

Happy Birthday to all those celebrating at the moment.

I'm a little slow on the UU this month as I had a flurry at the end of Feb but have UU Sanctuary body scrub, a very nice everyday scrub and I have a few in the stash

Afternoon! Does anyone want to join Boots Review Panel? I'm on it, you get sent free products to try and all you need to do is leave a review on the Boots website, no endless surveys or anything. They are especially after women aged 35 and over who dye their own hair, but they will consider you nevertheless. Let me know if you're interested and I'll message you :)

EDIT: Sorry, got it wrong, you would need to be over 35, the dyeing your own hair thing is negotiable x
