Then they ask you if its an ongoing problem or a new problem. If its new, then you have to wait at least an hour for someone to phone you back, talk to you about what's wrong and decide if you need an appointment. If they give you one, then you have to take it regardless of what time it is cos if you don't you have to go through the whole process again the next day and the next and so on. I finally managed to get through at 8.35 and all appointments today had gone  I asked if they could contact me if he had any cancellations and they said no, I would have to phone them - which effectively means I would have to phone every few minutes until I got one. ARRGGHH!
Rant over
Naughty, but if you get to that stage and you do need to see the doctor (which I think you do) then ask for a home visit. The Rottweilers, soon change their approach and then offer for you to go and sit an wait for their "emergency appointments". Well it works with ours anyway! :eek:Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
moliere - thanks for the recipes!
regarding your dream- have looked up a dream meaning for you:
Father:
This symbol is highly personalized, and should be considered in light of your relationship with your father. Generally, dreaming of a father (yours or anyone else’s) represents authority, while mothers represent love and protection. If your relationship with your father was good, dreaming of him implies advancement and/or assistance from authority figures in your life. If your relationship with him was strained, however, dreaming of him indicates trouble coming from authority figures, such as your boss. If you’re dreaming of a dead parent, especially if he or she is speaking to you, important news is coming your way. Whether the news is good or bad depends on other dynamics in the dream.
Thanks Shez - I'll copy and paste that! I had a very good relationship with my father so I hope it means something good!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Hey all,
It's been a looong time since I've posted! School has been busy busy and I've been plodding along with the allotment.
I haven't had time to read all the thread properly but it's so reassuring to know you're all still here. <<<<HUGS>>>> to anyone that needs them.
I'm also checking in with a very cheeky message...... I'm doing a charity walk called the moonwalk in aid of breast cancer in a fortnight and if anyone would be able to sponsor me even the smallest amount please check out my link on the charity board.
Thank you! Thank you!
I will try and check in properly and see how you're all doing during the Whitsun break. Before then I'm getting some miles into my little legs in preparation and writing 30 school reports! :eek:Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Thank you everyone for your suggestions about the doctors - very sneaky Donny-gal, I like it! Dizziness set in at lunch time and has been persistent ever since, feel very tired and just can't concentrate - watch this space!
I'm glad my flapjack recipe is going down so well, I'll definately be trying the weetabix brownies, my OHs mum was only maoning yesterday that her husband has decided he's gone off weetabix, just as she bought a huge box!
I will talk to the doc about the operation, it sound horrible though. I have to be awake while they do it and it involves feeding a wire type thing through a cut in my groin up through a main artery into the heart where they then try and trigger an SVT so that they can see where the problem is and burn it away  I have a needle phobia and the whole idea of that procedure terrifies me. If they seriously think it'll make a difference though ...
Anyway, thanks again, looking at the computer doesn't help my head so I'll be off now :hello:, see you all tomorrow!October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

Bon soir mes petites amies (is that right, never any good at french). Back at work today - boo hiss - and I hadn't walked 5 paces into the place when it felt like I'd never been away. Desk hideous (apparently it was much worse last week until my consultant had a wobbler and people sorted some of it out - according to one of the other consultants). Got a stand in manager - one of the other secs from another speciality - she's very abrasive and I've had words with her in the past. Well, it will be headphones on for the foreseeable future. Iron levels creeping up - blood pressure also up probably after the weekend. We have a hedge which is clearly on our side of the boundary by quite a bit (which is also our responsibility according to the deeds) and the people next door had just let it grow and grow so this year we decided to lower it to the level of the fence at the end of the garden. They've complained because "it was the right height for us".
They were very hurt and upset that we'd cut it - well, I was very hurt and upset when they came into my garden by a good 4-5 feet and cut down all the branches off one side of my apple tree as they were "growing over our garden" - we've had to wait 3 years before we can prune it as it was such a shock for an 80 y.o. tree.. The bloke actually said that the house on the other side which is rather overgrown he "just goes in and cuts stuff down if it makes his garden look untidy" !! Kept going on about shared boundary and all that and I just said it wasn't - to which he said "oh well I'm not getting into the legalities" - strikes me he knows it's ours and he was just chancing it. Apparently they don't want to fall out as we're "good neighbours" - by this I take it that we don't keep them up half the night with heavy metal/tv watching which vibrates our house, don't have teenagers leaning out of the windows making monkey noises at me when I'm in the garden or congregating on our front wall, have "jamming sessions" in the front room in the early hours (has loads of guitars), walk around the house so loud that when I've gone to bed Mr Rage will ask me what I got up for and we aren't the ones who have had a children's party with bouncy castle and band which was so loud that the people nextdoor but 4 marched round and said switch it off or else as they couldn't get their kids to sleep. Funny how they can ignore us most of the time too  I'm sorry but I don't think much of neighbours who don't wish each other merry christmas when one sends a card for two years running (didn't last year as I can only be nice for sooo long). Made me laugh the other day though when I was in the bathroom and heard him talking to a workman (well, bloke in woolly hat with fag) saying that the plan is to concrete over most of the garden as "nothing grows in it". Funny that seeing as it's south facing and my garden is full of plants. Perhaps they should try planting something. I'm sorry but is it me? I keep thinking I'm just a moaning minnie but I'm getting a bit hacked off at how people think they can just use other people as doormats. Mr Rage and I are quite easy going and I think that's the problem. Well, I'm sticking to my guns here as I'm not falling in with other people just because it's right for them. Right, Midsommer Murders and a packet of Marmite crisps it is then. Oh BTW sold some stuff on e-bay - hurrah!!! Not a great deal but it's a start - watch out Arthur Daley!!!:rotfl:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Good evening everyone,
Well this mornings reading was ok - didnt really tell me anything i didnt know. Says although im on my own at the moment, its because i havnt met the right person (!!) but i will, but it wont be just yet. Money will be tight, but although i will never be rich (shame) things are going to be ok. Well, it was worth listening too, but have come away not learning anything new.
Did get lots of pots for the garden, and some plants - also their old BBQ, some buckets and a wallpaper stripper!!! Going to have the garden furniture at the end of the month, before they go, so ive had a good day!!!
Havnt done any of the cleaning that i had planned to do, but then i was out most of the day - hopefully i will catch up tomorrow.
Right - off to watch the rest of the 'f' word - love Gordon Ramsey!!!
Hope everyone has a good evening, im hoping for a better night, with no horrible dreams about my children again!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi to anyone still awake.
catowen I've also been having horrible dreams concerning my girls. I think it has something to do with the little girl taken in Portugal. So many people have been chatting about it to me and I guess it feeds into your sub-conscious and then you haven't got any control over your dreams. It's a shame as I had a lovely dream about David Tennant on Saturday night!
Big hugs to Penny Pincher and to Scuzz
Jet77 Hope the date went well.
Not much to report today. Walked the girls to school, helped at the church drop-in, cleaned the house and made a yummy tuna pasta bake for tea.
At w*** for the rest of the week, so will go to bed earlier tonight.0 -
Evening everyone,

W**king nights last night so been asleep today and not feeling very well so not much os done today.
Hugs to all that need them0
