Problem is that now I'm reading lots of scare stories about toxoplasmosis and cat poo being ultra-bad, and because my hubby is ultra ultra cautious he is saying maybe we should never have got Django and maybe he should go back.
    !!

I have 6 cats.. one is incontinent and senile.. so long as you don't eat the poo you are fine.. you are actually more likely to get it from peeling otatoes or playin gin the park than you are from your own cat.. OH is being a nugget!

Most people are immune having been in contact with it as children anyway it is only rare occasions it has any adverse effects.

Just to let you all know that it wasnt good news for us yesterday. Scan showed nothing but thickening of the uterus. When I got home the bleeding got worse and my blood test results showed my hormones had halved in 48 hours so sadly I am goin through a m/c. I have no words for how I am feelilng right now.
I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies x

    So so sorry ncsmummy x
The other thing that people did for a while on the main pregnancy thread was to put the number of weeks at the end of their post, e.g.

    "Has anyone experienced blah blah?

    36+2".

It was really useful but didn't really catch on :D

Great idea fluffnutter and saves any one else a huge job.
Don't know my exact dates but 12 week scan Tuesday ;) (think i'm more like 10 weeks but could be wrong)

I am spotting again. Really hoping it's nothing, or that it's just the bleed from the scan working its way out of my system. Going to try to sleep away the worry until the morning (if possible).
  • glad to hear you had a good scan TTC

    Hi there!
I had a scan yesterday. Put me at 8+2 yest and was so reassuring. Heard a little heartbeat and saw how much baby has grown since 6 week scan (from 5mm to 20!)

Can relax a bit now until 12 (more like 11 now) week scan on 10th April.

Ttc40 I think we are scan buds!!!

    Congrats maire on your scan.

I have mine today - I've had so many blummin private ones though I'm not expecting any major suprises. I'm hoping for a nice pic though, and confirmation that all is well. I'll also get to see the obs due to being high risk, although from what I remember there's not a lot they do at this stage if all is well.

I'm more nervous about getting my DS blood test results today - statistically speaking I know I am very unlikely to be unlucky but until you know, there's always that chance.

Today's a bit of a milestone - exactly 12 weeks - I remember when I first got given this apppointment back in January feeling doubtful that I'd make it this far.

So sorry to hear that Betty - do you reckon you can get them to scan you again? At least you know that last time the baby was ok, so hopefully same again.

Update - just heard back from the clinic and I'm very low risk for downs edwards and patau.

Phew I can stop worrying now.

Now that I've had the results back, it's been worth it but anyone considering this test, if you're a worrier like me I recommend you try and find somewhere that can do the blood test on the day and give you the results there and then so you're not waiting and wondering for days!
