Has anyone else very nearly fainted?

I was in a meeting at work, standing room only, for an hour

Towards the end I felt really faint and the room started to spin round

I had to slump down into a chair and had to be brought a glass of water

    How embarrassing!

Been lurking but feeling to pooly to post. Congratulations on the scans ladies.
Have my scan date thru for 23/12 happy in one way but thinking if anything wrong could out a downer on Xmas. We found out with ds on 20/12 a confirmed bilateral talipes so guess we will deal with whatever.
Saw the dr on Fri and he gave me anti-emetics however they have made me feel iller and knock me out. Turns out they give them to insomnics, so a call yesterday to the surgery and a new prescription for different ones and feel better already.
Waiting for LO to wake up for lunch and then work tonight ;-(.

Glad you are feeling better with the new tablets!

Oh no! Have you been ok since?
I can't really offer any advice re feeling faint in pregnancy because i'm a pretty fainty person anyway...Currently unexplained but my blood pressure and blood sugar suddenly plummet sometimes.

    Is your blood pressure ok?

It may be your body just getting used to the extra fluid you are carrying and having to work a little harder...don't quote me on that though it's just a guess.
Maybe mention it to your midwife/doctor next time you see them?

Orrrr it's your body's way of saying that the meeting was really boring....?

Please add me to your list. Found out on Sunday and I'm 5+3 due 9th July. Very very nervous and cautious after an early MC in July but trying to be as chilled as I can this time!

Am at work, middle of my second 12 hour shift in a row, and just can't stop crying... feeling like I'm on the edge of a panic :-(

Sunshine sorry to hear that - I read this little book when I feel over anxious. I hope it might help you now - http://www.llttf.com/free_booklets/panic_book/

Is there anything that's upsetting you in particular? Are you feeling so tired with the shifts? Any chance you can go home sick?

Cllola - that sounds so lovely. My sister married at Christmas and it was very festive and fun. Everyone was in such good spirits about everything.

Glimmer - sorry to hear you've been so poorly. I'm expecting a scan just before Christmas too. Fingers crossed our good news will be the best present ever.

Congrats Pixelwife! What a great username. There are a few of us here after summer miscarriages. Fingers and toes crossed for a straightforward experience this time around :)

    7 weeks today!

chelseablue - I have felt faint a couple of times when I have got really overhot, but have generally been ok. a friend of mine has been fainting loads throughout her pregnancy and has been told she has low blood pressure and an elevated heart rate, so it's worth getting it checked out

clolla - yay to wedding, sounds fab! it's our 1 year anniversary on Sunday, so many happy memories

sunshine81 - hope you feel better soon :(

I had a 'turn' like this a couple of weeks ago at work's black tie annual dinner! was stood directing guests to their tables when all of a sudden I had to excuse myself from helping someone and quickly introduce my colleague before sitting on a nearby table in the entrance! Two colleagues who are both already mums helped me after I tapped one of them on the shoulder - not sure what it was but I suddenly got very warm, very faint and dizzy. MW said it can be normal and just to make sure I sit down every so often rather than standing for long periods
