    Thinking of you moonbabe58...

Well my booking appointment seems to be in two halves, she asked a load of general questions and gave me some info on scans and stuff! I have been referred to the hospital and will get a scan date in the next couple of weeks, and then have to go back to the midwife in three weeks for the rest of the appointment, to have blood taken, urine samples etc etc x

loving the live updates mysecretalias!!!! x

  • Dr was really good, have got an appointment for an early scan first thing tomorrow morning so at least I wont have to wait long.

Any positive stories of ladies who have had some bleeding and gone on to have successful healthy pregnancies?!

  • Hello all!! :)

So it went well, although as soon as I stepped into the room with my OH the nurse said 'I think you're here too early'. They were all so lovely though, and she scanned me anyway, and baby came straight up, moving around, waving and everything!!

But...they dated me at 10 weeks + 1 day today (2 days earlier than my previous scan) so it was too early to do any sort of tests. They've booked me in for next Friday instead now when I will go back and they can do the nuchal stuff and all the rest of it.

The nurse did say though that baby was growing perfectly for what they would expect, the heartbeat could be seen on screen and baby was very mobile and she even said 'very cute'! :D

So I am reassured somewhat....just a little annoying that I was too early to get all the tests over and done with.

Which means another nervous week and a half of waiting!! LOL!

We just don't know now whether to tell everyone and get it over with or whether to wait until the end of next week! Too many decisions!!

Congrats mysecretalias!!! Just think, you get to see little bean twice! We told a few people (close family and best friends) after our early scan at 9 weeks and are going to tell the rest after the next scan.

moonbabe58 - pleased you have got an appointment so quickly. MrsTM actually also had bleeding a couple of weeks ago and is ok now and if you go back to then on the thread, lots of ladies commented that they had had some sort of bleeding and gone on to have healthy babies. fingers crossed for you x

Hope all is well and glad you dont have long to wait.
I had bleeding in my first pregnancy at around 8 weeks i think and went on to have a healthy little monster...I mean...bundle of joy...
  • Thanks Cllola, that is reassuring. I am around 7-8 weeks and hoping it is just breakthrough bleeding.

awww, i bet it was lovely, shame you have to go back to do it all again - at least with all these scans you get lots of pictures of baby at different stages, they seem to grow so quickly in these first few weeks.

Can't wait to see mine :o

Hugs ((((((moonbabe)))))) and ((((((((robots))))))). From what I read online bleeding is very common. Hope your appointments bring some clarity, and thinking of you in the meantime.

Sounds like you had a great scan mysecretalias!

Today I have reached the stage where I started miscarrying my last pregnancy. I had a few bad dreams last night. Looking forward to getting beyond this milestone. Everything seems to be going okay.

I still feel so nauseous, and my guts are so wrong. Like I ate a few badgers or something, hah _pale_ I'm taking these as good signs!
