Hi all,
in veiw ofi can tell you where to get the "full version" of tomtom 5.2 for the lobster if anyone needs it
I don't think we should giving out links or point people in the direction of where to download tomtom. I have had quite a few messages sent to me asking for torrent links for tomtom, I just delete the emails.
Downloading unlicensed copies of software is illegal. The last thing you want is the manufacturers of tomtom reading this message board and telling the site admin.

Well, I can't believe it, been away from the PC for a while, today I decided to log-on and see how my original thread/post i had made on the site was doing. I was quite shocked to see 30,000 views. It was the very post I have ever made on this site!!!
I'm glad everyone is enjoying having fun with their lobster phone.
I've set up the lobster phone streaming TV to my pc via usb/activesync. At the moment its a little slow but I'm making a few edits to the lobster registry to make it smooth as possible.
Oh yeah thanks for people nominating me for post of the month!!!
Ayaaz
Hi Ayaaz,
Thanks very much for the info - what a bargain!
I am a bit of a seasoned Windows Mobile user and was wondering what software you are using to stream TV to your PC? I presume its some kind of screen duplication to copy the phone screen onto the PC?
Did the usual searches, but just got pointed to a load of crap!
You say its a bit sluggish, have you seen the processor accelerator on xda-developers? I used it on my MDA Vario (which has the same processor) and apperently you can safely overclock the processor from 200MHz to 240MHz.
Cheers

Google powertoys for windows mobile. You should be able to download it from the microsoft site. overclocking cpu doesnt make difference, the rate at which data is sent down usb cable needs to be changed.

I always go for the reconditioned phones as you can buy a top graded phone for less than half the price and you always get a 6 month gaurantee, you just need to ask virgin which recon phones they have in stock and take your pick.
For me, stephanie123 alerted me to the recons for £19.99 which is the biggest bargain I've had in ages... so thanks! The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Is anyone else having problems with the application unlock process? I have changed the required registry keys and run the required files several times, but the keys keep reverting.
Any thoughts?0 -
Hi all ... espcially if Majik is reading this!!
As posted way back in this thread, the following Bluetooth GPS is compatible with the Lobster:
http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Navman-SPiN-100-GPS-Navigation-system.aspx
I got this receiver this morning but I cannot get it to connect to the Lobster. No matter what, I continue to get the two blue light flashes every 1.5 seconds (which indicates no connection was made between the devices). The manual said you only get one light flash every 1.5 seconds when a successful connection is made.
I have also bought Route 66 v7 which is the package I am trying to use the receiver with.
Using set of config screens found by using the Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Devices menu options I can get the Lobster to "see" the GPS receiver, set it up to communicate using Com6, and the device stays listed in in the bluetooth devices list. But, I just cannot get it to connect.
The only thing I can think of is the passkey I enter is wrong. Looking all around the 'net the only passkey value I can find is 1234. Is that correct?
Majik - if you are around, can you please let me know how you configured the GPS receiver to work with the Lobster?
Cheers and TIA,

@jellacot,
I managed to successfully complete the application unlock process a few days ago.
Here is what I did:
1. Find and download SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab. Copy this to your phone and run it. Restart the phone.
2. Find and download SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe. Run this on your PC (which you have your phone connected via ActiveSync).
3. Find and download regeditSTG2.exe. Copy this to your phone.
4. Find and download HTCUnlock-CVS.exe. Copy this to your phone and run the application. This will use regeditSTG2.exe to automate the required changes to the registry.
5. Find and download CheckLock. Copy this to the phone and run it. If all went well this application should say the phone is unlocked.
Reboot the phone. Re-run CheckLock to ensure none of the changes were reverted back.
The first four required files can be downloaded from here:
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=251706&pid=819907&st=0&#entry819907
You will have to register with the site in order to download the files.
Please delete the above link if I have breaches some forum rule(s).
I cannot remember where I got CheckLock from, but it is freeware.
EDIT : I got CheckLock from here:
