You can nominated the OP by posting on the thread linked below:

to be honest this had already been posted by me couple days before in the voucher forum...i think the person who needs to be nominated is the person who told us they were available reconditioned for £19.99..this person saved everyone £20 instead of buying the new one! just my 2p worth.0 -
i have tomtom 5 which i bought of ebay for £13 which i dont need now if anyone wants it for the phone for what i paid for itTrophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.

Just an update folks.
I'm just off the phone to Virgin >> did the 789 from my mobile. Managed to order one no problem. I didn't know the model number and the woman said it'll be the 700. I asked for a recon one and she said no problem it'll be out to you tonight. £19.99 + £2.99 P&P. Great deal.
Now I need to figure out what I need to get sat nav on it ? I've got a Holux bluetooth reciever that I use with my Dell Axim, will give that a go.
I normally use quidco but not too bothered about the £1.80 i've missed out on >>> if it tracked:rolleyes:
Thanks op0 -
my wifes bought a proper tomtom, and we only have 1 car so seems a bit of a waste nowTrophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.

The yellow aerial looks like it is a tuned one, i.e. a coil of wire with capacitor(s) which will tune it to give the correct electrical length. A bit like a mobile aerial, except it uses a 2.5mm jack for connection.
Could be my eyesight but is that a little grey wire coming out of the bottom righthand side of the little yellow thing ?
Can anyone else see it ?
Cheers

In particular note the strange connector attached to this one.
Just to save anybody having to jump back, check out the little grey wire coming out of the bottom of the yellow thing. If "thing" is not the correct technical term please feel free to correct. So far it has not been determined exactly (aerial ?) what it is.0 -
I think the yellow thing is some sort of protector, as connectors on headphones are always prone to breaking. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
