Hmmm. They have cottoned onto MSE and wouldn't sell me the phone for £20 without the sim card. Said could buy for £30 + free £10 airtime on PAYG sim. Went for it anyway.

They told me the SIM was £5.

This is APPLICATION unlock not phone unlock i.e. allows you to install software that's not digitally signed.

followed steps 1 & 2 of app unlock and received message "application locked removed" but when i try step 3 and try to run registry editor in phone i get the following message: setup is not valid windows ce application.

is the phone app unlocked and do i need to still run reg editor in order to run tom tom.
    thanks in advance.

The headphones/aerial issue intrigued me, so I asked V about it when I ordered my sons phone. They say they should be able to get the parts if one contacts them. Didn't ask how much though.

I'm guessing replacements must be available somewhere.

Same thing has just happened to me as well and I phoned 3 times and spoke to 3 different people!

Still went ahead and ordered it as they said I would get a £5 credit on the sim card as well as an extra £10 on the sim card, so £15 free credit in total therefore phone is still £15!
  • I haven't needed to do any sort of 'application unlock' on my lobster. I can run any software I've tried on it, including emulators and TomTom.

Might I suggest that we list all of the applications that we have all loaded on to the lobby and say what it's for and how good it is?

What games Etc do you recommend.

I'm sure that this would be most helpful to those of us that are still Mobile Techy virgins.

I also found a piccy of a RED one.

    pretty init?

In particular note the strange connector attached to this one.

  • Can someone pm me to tell me how to get Tomtom working on this? Can't believe I'm having this problem, seeing as I managed it on both my Nokias. :(

    Cheers

So what did Virgin Mobile say when you phoned to complain ?

They acknowledged that the person I spoke to had given me incorrect and conflicting info, so they are sending me a bag to return their sim, crediting the cost of it back on to my card (£10 for a sim - are they kidding!) and giving me a credit as a goodwill gesture.
