Virgin Lobster mobile phone with built in DAB and TV

Just to let everyone know, I managed to install TomTom6 on my Lobster phone. Great i thought everything was running ok until it come to the part when you need to use touch screen capabilities (which lobster doesnt have) for example to set up the GPS, selecting a postcode.

I went back to 5.2 which runs fine. 5.0 doesn't as the screen goes garbled.

and it worked out at £28.xx for two for me using google checkout - as opposed to £21.xx for 1.

As for the software it is just a case of looking in the usual places for tomtom mobile 5.2, i.e ebay had a couple yesterday but not now.

You can buy version 5 of the software from ebay very inexpensively with foreign maps (would have to get whichever maps you required) and then update here from the official tomtom site to version 5.2.

6 will work, its just the lack of touchscreen means you cant get it to work, but it will install and run as 5.2

people on other forums have stated there is a fakecursor/touch screen emulator which may help with problem

Can we clarify which version runs on the lobster, i got a copy of TomTom Mobile 5.2 and it was a .sis file which is for symbian phones (nokias etc) I think you need TomTom Navigator for Lobby

They are various versions of TTMobile 5.2.
TTNavigator is for PocketPCs

I havent got mine up and running yet so cannot clarify exactly whats needed - just taken the information from here which states tomtom mobile 5.2
