You should have got a sim in the box if you paid £42.98. I did.

I would call them up and tell them you didn't get it. They are usually very good.

I bought 1 new one and then had to buy a reconditioned one for my son after he saw mine.

I paid £42.98 and never got a sim with it. Ill have to give them a call

If you bought the phone without using any discount codes then you may have bought a new phone without sim for £39.99 and paid the £2.99 for postage so I suppose it depends if you used an online discount code.

I don't think there is any way to order one online without the sim. I might be wrong.

Firstly, thanks to the original poster for flagging this. I received mine this morning and I'm very happy with it!

Now, onto the task of getting as much out of it as I possibly can. I've ordered a 2gb mircoSD card which should turn it into a usable mp3 player, and I might head down the GPS route, but I also get the feeling that there must be a quite a bit of scope for PC connectivity and remote control via bluetooth. I noted this earlier post:

I've just setup remote desktop access to my phone via my PC. ITs brilliant, although TV streaming is a bit jerky on the PC.

However I'm not having much success with the bluetooth connection to my PC. Is anyone successly dabbling in this area? I'd be grateful if they could PM me - I'd rather not clog this thread up with tech support.

    But yeah, great buy!

Wrong i answered this question near start of this thread.

My son got phone 2 weeks ago & we put his £10 a month sim into it & it worked fine just as Virgin customer services said it would so get in there & buy one if your on contract with Virgin as great phone with great tv pictures & dab radio as well.:rotfl:

it might work now but what about after 90 days when the free tv trial finishes? you will find you have to pay £5 for the licence. I am gonna see what happens in my case.

according to virgin when you first subscribe to the tv service it makes note of the imei number of the phone and not the sim/phone number. So in theory you can change your simn card to another virgin card etc

i've had a few refurbished virgin phones over the years and asked a couple of years ago, they said they'd be used for conferences etc. sometimes only used for one day. i've never had a problem with them.

A few words of caution with this phone, if you leave pocket MSN signed in you will slowly use up your credit, even if you are not messaging anyone.

If you reset you phone you loose the TV licence, and i have not found a way of getting it back so i will have to phone up Virgin i think ...
