I did mine direct through online banking. I had Online ISA Issue 3 the contents of which (less £1.00) I transfered directly to my Flexclusive Issue 1 with no problem. I left the £1 so that any interest that I am due will be credited to the Issue 3 ISA. You can do the transfer then apply to close it completely( forms needed I think or you maybe can do it in branch) which gives you the option to say which account you want the interest added to..
With an Isa from another provider, you need the forms to authorise the transfer.

I would always leave £1 in the Issue 3 ISA, that way you have no problems feeding your Flexlcusive ISA, or another higher paying Nationwide ISA that does not directly accept external transfers in.

Of course, this is assuming they do not close this 'legal technicality' in future ISAs they bring out - let's see what happens around April 6th!

I have the Flex Exclusive ISA. Anyone know if it can be topped up when we get into the new tax year in April?

How? Do they want us to walk into a branch bearing a cheque or a Flexaccount card?
Free the dunston one next time too.

No, considering you can only get the account if you are a FlexAccount customer, just transfer the funds from that account on April 6th.

It'll be easiest to do it using online banking, but over the phone will be just as easy.

Our 1 year fixed term ISAs expire with Santander on 6th April.

Unfortunately i missed the boat with this 4.25% ISA, but the wife didn't.

When is the best time to put in a ISA transfer request? It's been that long since i've done one i can't remember the process.
If she waits until the 6th, picks up the form & then sends it off, i imagine there's a crossover period where she'll be receiving naff all interest (being however long Santander take to release the funds i suppose).

So at what time do you apply?

She can do it now and tick the applicable box for when she wants the transfer to take place.

Oh you can specify an actual date? That's handy.

This is going to be a dumbo moment - does she pick the form up from Nationwide or Santander? As said, it's been a while & i've only ever transferred once, but i can't remember which way i did it.
