You need to read the thread, and the T&Cs. In a nutshell, yes, you can transfer your Santander ISA if it can be transferred without penalty, and before 31 May 2013.

When the 4.25% ends, you will go to something like 2% (unless BoE changes their rate) for a while.Probably time to move again then, yes. Or make some other decision, like Reg Saver or S&S ISA or paying off mortgage/debts or whatever is best in your situation.

Thank you, possibly need to re read without wine in my system as this is confusing the heck out of me. Also Santander havent paid their interest until October so will need to spend some time getting my blonde head round this. Why does it all happen this time of year? FD 8% and others all seem to end at same time too!

    Its not that difficult.

    1. Nationwide didn't let you transfer into the Flexclusive ISA and now it does.
    2. Santander will pay interest up to the date that you close the account and transfer it into Nationwide.

Ah so I don't lose interest, it is paid whilst in account? Will pop it in my calendar to deal with when back from holidays.

It's only easy when you are not a numpty like me who had all their money in a 0.1% ISA for years as didnt know bonus periods ended. I now have MSE.

Unless its a fixed term, notice account, etc. all instant access will have the interest paid up to the date that it is closed/transferred to another provider on the day that it is closed/transferred.

It was a 1 year, but will check details, thanks for the info to check (I'm so dumb I'd move without checking). OH account is a Santander 2 year with open bonus, so at least it's one less for my limited brain to take task of.

The easiest way to remember is to rename the account in Santander online banking with the end date of the bonus, etc.

    Hard to ignore/forget then :-)
