Nationwide Flexclusive Issue 1 ISA

  • I just phoned NW as I hold both an Online ISA Issue 3 (3.1%) and a Flexclusive ISA (4.25%).

Although the online banking system appears to allow you to transfer funds between the two, at the confirmation screen this warning is displayed: "You should not withdraw funds that you wish to transfer to another ISA; instead you will need to contact the new provider who will arrange the transfer for you. This includes transfers to other Nationwide cash ISA products."

The agent said that because the Flexclusive ISA is not an online account, you need complete a form for the transfer. Mine's on it's way and should be here in a couple of days. I'm glad I read this thread!!

Read the other thread and you will see how many of us have used the online transfer successfully. No forms need, read the T&Cs.

I did mine direct through online banking. I had Online ISA Issue 3 the contents of which (less £1.00) I transfered directly to my Flexclusive Issue 1 with no problem. I left the £1 so that any interest that I am due will be credited to the Issue 3 ISA. You can do the transfer then apply to close it completely( forms needed I think or you maybe can do it in branch) which gives you the option to say which account you want the interest added to..
With an Isa from another provider, you need the forms to authorise the transfer.

Just to confirm, I have transferred over five years worth of ISAs via online banking in the autumn. If they've had to cave in due to a technicality, I am expecting that there will be no problems with paying the full interest due.

Many thanks to everyone on both threads for giving me courage.

What page/form did you use to do the transfer to Nationwide online? The only link I have found is to apply for a transfer pack.

Not sure I understand. You have to have a Flex Account and an Online ISA and, of course, a Flexculsive ISA.

I meant is there a form that you can fill in online to transfer in from an external ISA or do yo have to fill in a paper copy and send it off.

Sorry, misunderstood. All transfers from one provider to a different one requires a form.
