Guess i'm just having a real big 'feel sorry for myself' day. I know we all get them. I do need to leave it today though, cos i can feel myself losing my temper, and i know it is cos i am a tired hormonal mare, and i don't want to be a shouty mummy.
I know the house is bad today though, cos the meter man gave me a funny look as he stepped over the 10 parcels of papers in the 1msquare hall, then had to step over the baby and all his toys, then my piles of washing on the kitchen floor, and then when he saw the meter was under the stairs/my pantry, he was happy that i had a reading from last week.
Why is it when you feel crappy and the house looks like you have done nothing for weeks, does someone knock on the door then?
All the chocolate i have eaten is starting to take effect anyway, so i may top that up with tea, and then wash up before baby wakes up.
See you all later, xx0 -
poohbear- I didn't get the washing dry outside, just hung it out for a couple of hours before it rained. It's all draped round the house now, it's been pouring for hours.
Michelle, we've all been there. Just get through a day at a time (and who cares what the gas man thinks). Hope you'll feel better tomorrow. I've been a miserable cow for over 50 years though, so don't listen to my advice0 -
Michelle, Pigpens right, enjoy the moments with Charlie as they happen, he'll be a screaming tantrum throwing toddler, and even worse a teenager before you know it. Housework can wait, I am sure the meterman has seen worse, much much worse! Especially if he's been to my house before :rotfl:
Great idea with the leaving list, going to do this tonight to my partner, it'll be simple, switch oven and grill on at 4.15pm so it's heated by the time I get back to make his dinner, but I can almost guarantee it will not be done on time and dinner will be delayed. To the moans of 'need to go to work' I will say 'tough!' He'll have some excuse (done it before) of needed to do xx xxx and xx, but to that I will say try remembering to do it when I have all the rest to do.
Have dropped into the conversation earlier the lack of support I get from my partner, to the moan of 'but my ankle hurts' to which I replied 'not enough to stop you doing what you want to do' see it hurts him most when I ask him to do something.
About to blow my top actually, wanted to vacuum but he's on PS3 and says I can't. Well tough because at 2.45pm if he's not off it I will do it anyway. I always do a vacuum round before collecting the boys. Need to remake DS2s bed aswell.
Then I have to take DS2 to his movement group (physio/OT session) then back to do partners tea, then get swimming stuff sorted, make kids tea, take kids swimming at 6pm (list will be up about 5.45pm before I go hopefully) back and see if I can fit a little time in to breathe in between those, put kids to bed, do nighttime stuff and washing up (rarely get chnce before we go) then more assignement stuff. Shattered just thinking about it.
Oh bathrooms done, bog is cleaning itself with some chemicals in, will give it a scrub before collecting the kids, PCs/desks/shelves etc all dusted, kids can help tidy their computer room up at the weekend! Blooming tip in there. Plants watered, seedlings watered, window cleaned. In my PC area is just a pile of to be filed paperwork, hmmm might get sorted some time tomorrow. Dining table needs sorting, uni stuff scattered all over itOne day I might be more organised...........

As for men, I think they just miss their mums and thats why they like us to wait on them hand and foot. And I'm going to have to leave it there as it's time to go and get DD :eek:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Dailies

Hugs lil-me and michelle.
Michelle - sod what the gas man thinks, you know exactly what was in the piles and it was part of your organisation! Bet he cannot get through the front door in some places, plus has to wipe his feet on the way out. Life has been pretty hectic for you lately and you have coped with that, its always the little things that push you over the edge. Having littles is the hardest job in the world. I for one never realised just how hard it could be, somedays I think if I could have had a flash forward to a "really bad" day I wonder if I would have had them. BUT then I think about all the "really good" stuff I would have missed out on. Give yourself some slack, you are not superwoman, you are a mummy doing a fab job!
Lil-me have to say i am with shirley park on this one, tell him to do his own tea! (easier said than done I know:o ). My DH seems to have woken up to the fact that he has been a lazy git for the last 13 years and been naff all help since the littles showed up, like he said he cannot change the past but can try to improve the future. I think his turning point came when I threatened to write in to that programme "mums on strike", the thought of 3 days at home day and night with the littles made him think how he would cope. Life for you has further complications because of your sons autism (I know little one is still being assessed) I really dont know how you do it all and study too - hats off to you :T :T :T I do really think you need to have serious discussion time with DH though otherwise it will fester away hun. PLUS take hoover into front room, say when you finish can you run hoover round as I have to "list all the things from you post".0 -
lil_me - have you thought of sabotage ??? I sure would ..... and he could get his own tea - see how long he wants to carry on playing then ..
damn, you must have the patience of a saint ...
Michelle - who cares what the gas man thinks ???? It will all be there tomorrow and in this life you got to get your priorities right cos you only get one shot at being there for your LO - !!!!!! the housework! LO will sleep at some point - and you can do the urgent stuff in the gaps
Both dogs been to vets, been to PO, cleaned the other bathroom and tea is left over curryOH home tonight and working form home tomorow so a nice bit of a lie in - well half an hour or so anyway
Just finishing bits of work and then working on reviewing my open listings on Amazon to see if I can tempt the selling fairy back ....
wilf - you go girl!!!!

Michelle, I've done exam marking and I know how tough it is. The 10 parcel pile would make me feel weepy too! I'm sure you know all the tricks, set yourself a (manageable) target each day, have something to spend the money on in mind. You must ask OH for help, marking plus Charlie plus house plus OH out a lot is a tough combination. I was going to do GCSE marking, but cancelled it. I don't know what I was thinking of, having a seven week old baby, I am not superwoman! Thinking of you..
Lil-me enormous great kicks needed for OH I think. My OH does do a lot (shh, don't tell him I said that), but he was properly trained by his mother, god bless her. Don't let him get away with it...! I know it isn't easy.
The weather is horrible here and it is affecting my mood. Need to get more social things going I think now I am emerging from sleep deprivation. I am used to a busy job with lots of laughs with colleagues (and students). Must set up some visits I think
 to everyone this afternoon, hope things look up soon.

poohbear- glad to hear you are feeling better
lil_me- pleased to hear about your positive news on the school front, fingers crossed all goes well next week
michelle- you take care of yourself and Charlie, and like others have said sod the gasman!
Sorry to those I've missed, I have just tried to catch up with todays' posts as best I can. I much prefer my non working days when I can pop on her more regularly to see how everyone is.
Bedroom got sorted last night. Thankfully it doesn't take long as when we redecorated we had a major declutter. DH put away the pile of clothes I had nealty folded up on the chair from the week before so that's looking better.
I do need to sort through the chest of drawers next to my bed. Things just get put in there to be sorted out later and it ends up a real jumble.
DH is out tonight to see Spiderman with a friend so I'll get the bathroom sorted when he's out and DS is in bed.
Bought a new wipeable tablecoth today so I'm just going to clear the table of today's post and the fruit bowl so I can get that one.
WM has just finished so I'll hang that out over airers and the bannister....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Next job make batch lot of chicken nuggets up for freezer - girls like to help with this too - maybe I could start a cottage industry (I have the slave labour:D )
