    Doing better today!

Stripped bed, washed bedding and remade bed. Did two loads of washing. Put some of it out on the line and it blew for a couple of hours before it rained. It's draped round indoors now.

    Dusted and vacuumed all bedrooms.

Cleaned bathroom and toilet (probably level 2, I haven't checked).

Cut grass back and front before it rained.

Cleaned out fish tank. We've still got one solitary fish left. Think it's going to live for ever. We're getting rid of the tank when he's gone.

Dusted and vacuumed living room and vacuumed hallway and kitchen.

Did computer desk a couple of days ago when I did the hallway properly.

    That'll do.

Thought I'd pop in.. just to share that I have actually DONE something today.. not a great deal.. but the kitchen is looking more like a kitchen than the bottom of the wheelie bin!!

ALL the washing is washed, dried and ready to be put away (bar the bits in the WM and on the line!!)
    The worksurfaces are visible
Just going to sweep the floor.. if I dare move the table with the mounds of washing on it!

Just going to do a swiftly over the bathroom and loo as well as we have the plumber coming to sort the new handbasin at the weekend and both rooms are pretty deplorable.

You never know I may even get the vacuum out for a walk this week!!!!

End of my lunch break (I've been catching up on other website & ebay ;) ). I'm making slow but significant progress. I decided to put up 2 pictures that have been shelf mounted (just sitting :o ) since Christmas, infact I think one has been there since July :o I've also cleared out the little sets of drawers we use as a launch pad (we keep keys, purse/wallet, hairbrush, phonecharger and the like in them - one drawer each ;) ) so only stuff that should be in there is there now :D I'm also 3/4 of the way around the livingroom doing a deepclean level of dusting with a damp microfiber.

Oh and before I sat down to lunch, I grated 1/2 a BIG block of cheese and put 3 tubs in the freezer. The other 1/2 is in the fridge as it was getting warm and hard to grate. Time to update my list and then get on with finishing the jobs ;)

Hi, glad you are feeling a bit better too LJD1, don't do too much today!

lil_me don't stretch yourself too far, leave housework for when you have finished your assignment and had a rest. I speak from experience, I worked full time, four kids and a part time degree and did loads of other things too like you. You need some time for you. Leave the list for now!

Pigpen, I laughed about your vacuum cleaner, mine hasn't had a walk either this week!

Pollybear, You managed to dry your washing outside? It hasn't stopped raining here all day. I still have yesterdays draped around as its not cold enough to put heating on to dry them on radiators. Also DSs don't understand when I go out and say hang out washing that I might mean outside when it is not raining. I suppose I am lucky they tried to hang it around the house.

I have slow cooker on, BM on and have sorted some paperwork to send off. Dailies done and about to start on level one.

:rotfl: Pigpen swap you, my kitchen looks like that 'bottom of a bin' at the minute. It's not dirty, just everything that isn't in the right place, must get it sorted, cupboards are starting to empty as soon as I open doors is a sign of 'NEEDS SORTING'

Just finished one of several calls. Few about my possible application for a special needs place for my son which has left me much more positive :) going to view on Tuesday next week. Got a VERY delicate situation locally, where a guy who is rumoured (which have come from an extremely reliable source) to have had previous offences relating to children :( seems to have befriended a local family and has been collecting their children from school and looking after them. It's made a very difficult situation and parents are becoming extremely anxious. We've had a similar problem before here, which is probably making it worse as parents are so on edge about such issues anyway.

Anyway, have got second load of DS2s bedlinen in wash, wet the bed last night and didn't tell me. Assignments getting there, oh what a day! Thanks poohbear, I am going to concentrate on the assignment and just do things like load washer, empty etc in the middle. Seems to be working ok so far.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi everyone.

Didn't post yesterday or earlier today as i can feel myself sinking under a black cloud, and i'm not really in the mood to do housework. Not really sure why, but i'm not sleeping too good either, so i think it is tiredness, plus stress of the hospital/house management/Dh's stupid work hours/helping sister out with wedding/Charlie teething and being a bit of a grot.

I ended up bursting into tears at DH yesterday, as Charlie had bad wind and wouldn't let me put him down to feed him/bath him/do anything, so i had to try and squeeze into the pantry to get his infacol, and ended up knocking a glass bottle of omega 3 oil onto the pantry floor (broken glass, and a big greasy mess) whilst also standing on the cat. Then decided to feed him, which made him projectile vomit over him/me/the bouncy chair, so i went and changed him/me, at which point he did it again, while the cats were prowling trying to find the wonderful source of the fishy smell.

I think i can laugh about it today but it was the end of the world, so DH sympathetically tidied up all the mess when he finally returned home from work, put Charlie to bed, and then went to the offy to get me choccie and wine.

So, as i was still awake at 2am, and then woken up by DH leaving at 7am, i have decided to try and chill out a bit today.

The only housework that has been done is
    • pay the window cleaner
    • put last night's dishes away
    • let the gas meter reading man in, who refused to go in the cupboard, so i told him what it was last week
    • accepted delivery of 10 parcels of exam papers (not sure where they will live for the next 6 weeks, although i am thinking the landing)
    • fed the cats
    • fed Charlie, and put him in his cot where he has still not gone to sleep
    • about to feed myself and hopefully not make too much mess
    • found a bag DH left on table with biscuits, so ate them in the interests of tidying up.
I am going to then do a bit of catch up tomorrow, but i will be on my SAT marking course on Saturday and DH will be responsible for Charlie 9-5, and i may leave him a to-do list, and see just how he copes with everything i try to do. He may then try and get home earlier on occasion.

Feel a bit better now for a whinge, especially now i know that some of you know exactly how much of a 'widow' of the entertainment business i am, plus knowing some of the rest of you have it the same.

shell hope your DD doesn't have an infection.

torianut -baby feeds, Charlie has either 3x 7oz or 4x 6oz bottles a day with his 3 meals. It's recommended in the Annabel Karmel book they should have 21-28oz per day. He also has cows milk on his weetabix and in white sauce

Take care all, will check back in later when i may feel more cheery.

    Michelle, x

Michelle.. chin up sweetie.. sometimes real life takes over and all this 'flying' is just a distraction and a pass time. Charlie will only be tiddly for a short time so if he needs you, he comes first.. don't feel bad about not having wiped something or filled a bag of rubbish.. HE is the most important thing in you house. Enjoy your day of rest and hopefully he will be feeling better really soon (sounds like he has bit of a bug to me too!) lots of love and hugs because you sounds like you need them.. and a KUTA (kick up the @rse) for hubby.. he sounds a treasure but sometimes treasures are hard to find!

((((hugs)))) from me in my mess!
