  • I know its almost 4 in the morning. I should be in bed but i can't sleep:mad: just cleaned computer while i was here, (well, i might as well!) can't do the bathroom in the middle of the night coz i'd wake everyone up. So I thought I'd come on here and have coffee, then maybe go back to bed and try to sleep.
My Hubby has a job interview tomorrow first thing and i wonder if thats keeping me awake:confused: He has worked for the same firm for 17 years and is only on minimum wage. Been telling him to get out for ages, I don't know how his boss thinks we survive? 3 kids and a mortgage..... little else really! anyway hopefully tomorrow will bring new hope.

Hi Shirley Park, Hope you dont mind but I looked at your photos on your website and 'WOW" they are so lovely I only had a minute (kids calling every 2 mins!!)but looked at the floral- the rose is gorgeous, and the sunsets-WOW!! Just out of interest and the fact im a nosey moo, what do you do it for is it just for yourself or do you sell? Please dont think im being rude but they are soo good only wanted to say if you dont sell you should, they are worth it!!:D

Thankyou :) Don't worry I don't think you are being rude. Currently I'm not selling them, but several people have said that I should, so maybe I should investigate a bit more on how to do that. Various people at work keep asking me when I'm going to leave and do photography full time, but at the moment it's a hobby and I enjoy it, if I tried to make a career out of it I'm not sure I'd enjoy it as much.

Morning all :hello: Yes I'm up early again this morning to wave OH out to work, not quite 6am (it was 6.18 this time but another *sits bolt upright* "I'M AWAKE" moment :rotfl: ) Hopefully we shouldn't be having this next week as well, I'm hopeful that OH can get tomorrow afternoon off work and be able to take the car into the Ford Centre. *crosses everything* Fortunately he's not as indispensible as he used to be now there's another technician (Oh the difference at home is amazing :D ) so we're just awaiting the Headteacher to say "Yay" or "Nay"

DD is up already - I know as the bathroom door has just nearly come off it's hinges the way she shut it otherwise I would have thought she was still in bed. If she was a teenager I could understand some of the slamming/sulking/moaning but she's 6!

There I am, digressing again :o Right, I'm looking over Lil_me's list for the week (if it wasn't there to remind me to do things I wouldn't do them at all :o ) so lets see :

RIGHT, my plan of attack for today (and only because I didn't do any cleaning last week, and I've got a busy week next week with all the ebay items finishing & a governors meeting, plus I've got a website to finish which includes trying to work out some Javascript:eek:, before I get rapped across the knuckles with a wet microfibre cloth) is going to look something like this :
    • Dailies
      • Washing machine - underwear
      • Evening meal - sauage casserole in the slow cooker (packet mix)
      • Dishes
      • Uniform
    • Kitchen
      • Dishes
      • Worktops
      • Cupboard/appliance fronts
      • Hoover / Mop
      • Window
      • Recycling out to box
      • SOME plants outside
    • Livingroom / Diningroom / Study
      • Clean dining table & clean cloth
      • Tidy
      • Dust
      • Hoover / mop
      • Hoover sofa etc
      • Paperwork - check stuff off that it's dealt with or pending then file appropriately.
      • Shredding
      • Recycling (paper) out into bag/box.
      • Wipe mouse / keyboard over with antibac on a cloth.
    • Bathroom
      • Demould
      • Clean bath & sink
      • Clean window
      • Wipe over toilet & put cleaner down
      • Wipe tiles
    • Bedrooms
      • Demould
      • Hoover
      • Dust
      • Change masterbedding IF I get the otherstuff dry in time.
    • OTHER STUFF
      • Ebay parcels to dispatch - only those who have paid.
      • IRONING - MUST BE DONE TODAY.
      • 123reg info for school.
ATM thats all I can think of :rotfl: I think I'm going to go and make a start by making the beds and gathering the washing
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Arghh !!! I want to go back to bed. Everything is turning into a disaster this morning. I ran the cold water instead of hot when I was running water for a bath. Then I forgot the water was running until it was almost overflowing. I put some pasta on to boil to make pasta salad for lunch and the water boiled over cos I wasn't paying attention !

Have cleaned the bathroom though :)

Last night before I went to bed I sorted through my wardrobe, found another pair of trousers that now fit, another pair almost fit. Discovered a skirt that I'd forgotten about, though that's almost falling off me now it's too big, and a top that now fits. So yay. Still a long way before I fit into all the clothes that are currently under the bed because they are too small :(

So most of last night was spent listening to her cough.

Right will put the kettle on while its boiling will trek down the bottom of the garden (where the whirly gig is) and peg these towels out.

Morning all!!! Just reading while drinking coffee and am so impressed with folks here - maybe it is my age (slowing up rapidly) but I don't remember being that busy when i was younger!

First a few bits where I remember folks names without waiting hours while my browser refreshes to get to the right page...

lil'me - my OH is maths person - keep going it WILL be worth it - I am not sure how you cope with everything but you are doing a grand job and am glad we are helping in some way! LOL.

Nicki - You look lovely in your avatar and am sure you do right now too! it's only skin deep - in my case it is buried under layers of excess but somewhere down there I am nice I think though I cant really remember :D

Shirley - hm - thinnner huh? well done!!!!!!!!!!

Now a general to those who have OH's who dont help and moan a lot. How about C&P'ing a full weeks list from an old thread, and putting it into a word doc in a nice big font size and pinning it to the fridge door - ask folks to initial what they do each day. Make sure you put on what they normally do too - I always thought OH didnt do much when I realised he did some things regularly that I conveniently forgot! It might help even if it is only to raise awareness- and every little bit is something you don't have to do.

As for me was at vets at 8am with Dizzy - no xray or op as he is almost sound now and the swelling is much reduced. Giving it till next Wed - back if it worsens. Spoke to Vet about the booster for Kipper - am not in favour of annual vaccs for dogs cos of the problems - even the drug companies say most are unnecessary but agreed will give him his adult booster and then drop to just lepto and para-influenza after that, so he is booked in at 2.30 today.

Done the upstairs shower room except blinds and the grille for the extractor fan which I cant reach to get down. Still got the downstairs bathroom to do though. Daily S&S round kitchen done and emails done so a fairly easy day apart from the blinds upstairs :(

    Happy flapping folks !!!!!

aimeelister, welcome back. :D Glad you're feeling a bit better, flu's really yucky, you just don't want to do anything!

Shirleypark, just think, the worst is now over. The very best thing about a day starting badly is that it has a very good chance of better, because it sure as heck can't get any worse!!! :rotfl: Good news about the plastere though, it's lovely when a plan comes together. ;)

Shell, poor DD, I hope that it's just swelling from the stitches etc, I know that ear infections are horrid, even if you're well, let alone after an op. Sending cuddles from Exeter for your baby.

newmrslockwood - I clean in the middle of the night too! Well, honestly, if you have to suffer the bore of insomnia, you may as well pu it to good use. Hope your DH's interview goes well, then maybe you can rest easy again.

DeniseNZ, I know what you mean about cooking for the masses, I think my DH would be too shocked by my cooking first thing to be able to eat. He'd probably just want to frame it! :D

Right, DH doesn't seem keen on cleaning today, so we may not get much done, but I can hope. I'm not aiming for a particular level, I'll just pick and choose jobs from the list as I go along. Have a good day all. :j
