Morning all. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and Noah had a good time at his little birthday party.
Quiet weekend here, didn't do much at all. Made an apple crumble for pud yesterday, let A have some for the first time and he really seemed to like it, so he can have the leftovers for pud tonight, since I'm trying to be good.
It's raining again today so don't know if we'l get up to much, going to make some savoury muffins for lunch for A, I am really struggling with lunch, he's going through a weird phase at the moment so won't eat pasta and he already has bread at breakfast. He would eat eggs everyday but that can't be good
So tired recently so have an appointment with the doctor this week to get my iron levels checkedThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
My ex's niece used to have an old tissue box full of different bits of material, she loved it!! Spent hours pulling it out and then putting it back in
Plus it was free (free box and old bits of material from around the house)

I'm not so sure. I think eggs have a bad press, probably because of unfounded fears about cholesterol. Eggs are full of protein, low in fat and contain every vitamin apart from C. I'd say they're the perfect food for little ones. Chuck in an orange and a bit of green veg and with the bread he's already had, every food group is represented. George would have eggs every day too, only thing that really crossed my mind is don't they cause constipation? Although as we're on 4 hideous poops a day at the moment that may not be a bad thing...;)
Hope the party was good Sammie? Can't imagine that many little people running riot around here!
Ugh. Speaking of hideous nappies :eek:Newborn thread member

try changing his nappies if he has eggs every daythat was what I meant
eggs are good for youI eat them quite a lot. I'm glad he likes them as I think he's ready to drop his one and only milk feed which is making me quite sad, as it's like the last thing about being a baby and now he's a full blown toddler

For those FF mums I have a question.
At 5 weeks we noticed LO's size 1 (avent) teats were almost vaccuming in on themself so LO was getting alot of air / wind. So we moved to size 2 and all was good! But now at 8 weeks weve noticed the same is happening on his size 2 teats.
Is it too early to move up to size 3?0 -
Nutella I've not seen those wondercubes before, they look good but I think you could probably make something for a lot less cash. Old hankies in an empty tissue box? The imagination tree blog has lots of ideas for cheap DIY toys. But I'm a super cheapskate remember!
the imagination tree blog - it's brilliant!

Peanut - we used size 3 from around 3/4 weeks. You could buy variflow which will accommodate the strength of LO's suck? They are suitable from birth xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Am afraid I've gone against your advice and ordered a Wondercube, but thanks so much for all your suggestions. I'm not really into crafts - ironically, since my mum's incredibly good at sewing and making stuff - and LO has already hurt herself more than once on a normal tissue box thanks to sharp corners. But I'm planning to stuff different things into the Wondercube. Her current favourite activity is pulling nappy sacks out of the bag that they come in
Gilly, hope you're ok - I think I should get my iron levels checked too; I passed out on the train this morning  I think it was a combination of not having eaten, not having slept much and the train being incredibly hot, stuffy and crammed, but as of an hour ago I'm back on the Floradix.
Hope everyone is well. Sammie, how was the party?0 -
