Very very ripe bananas will make them go apparently and ones that aren't quite as ripe will bung them up, I think xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Turtle I flipping love the dark tower series! Best set of books I've ever read. Ever. Must admit though I started reding the Wind Through the Keyhole not long ago and never got it finished - a small baby shaped monster kept interrupting
. Under The Dome is good too, and he had another out a year or two ago 11/22/63 which is really good.
I've not been on much this week, he's refusing to nap at the moment so I have no time to do anything. He did sleep from bedtime til almost 6.30 today though so that is a distinct improvement. Hope all are ok, will read back properlyinow.Newborn thread member

Another king fan here :hello: although I've not read the DT series. I enjoyed 11/22/63 and was actually prompted to read IT again because of the crossover, and I loved that book (not because of the gory bits - hard to explain
)
If it wasn't for my kindle I couldn't read as much as I do... But I take it everywhere and grab my moments when I can
Feel like a big meanie because I've woken up this morning to torrential rain and 35 mph winds and the poor cats cowering against the patio doorthey are now both splodged out on the floor in here
Oh well. I have cereal coated babies to go and clean, so bye for now :wave:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

How and when do you find time to read when you have a baby that won't nap and feeds every two hours at night?
I haven't even opened a book since LO was born!
To be fair I only manage a few pages at a time!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I don't read as much now because I'm a fanatic when it comes to books and I end up staying up until silly o clock reading and then regret it in the morning. I've bought a few books for the kindle this morning so may get a chance soon.
Instead I seem to spend my days reading the same three books by a small thing who follows me with the book in his hand saying 'up , up, up' because he wants to sit beside me on the sofa and have me read to him.
*waves* hello Delain, nice to 'see' you xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

That's really sweet! I was a huge fan of books as a child (although to be fair I had no choice - both my parents are primary school teachers!), so I really hope my LO ends up loving books too. She already has a big basket full of them and she likes flicking through them, but she doesn't yet have the patience for proper stories.0 -
Katie, yay for a good night! :j Here's hoping he can keep it up!0

Wahey for fellow DT fans!!! It's simply brilliant, so intricate, so clever. Wizard and Glass is my fave, followed closely by Wolves of the Calla (I had tears in my eyes at the commala dance!) but I HATE the illustrations, the bloody artist clearly did not read the book which is really irritating as they only needed to read a few pages, annoys me every time!!0

He has had loads of books for months but he's only really taken an interest and wants to be read to since he turned 1 I'd say. Plus tends to be short books, like dear zoo, peepo etc. if they have flaps to lift up he likes that too. I was a reader when I was younger and my mum always took me to the library so hoping he is the same.Aww gilly that's so cute!he is cute, sometimes....
