Wizard and Glass is my favourite too. Just typed out a whole reply but realised I'd spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the series so ill shut up now ;). I haven't seen the covers as I have it on my kindle. And I listened to the audio books, kept me going on many a long commute round the m25 a few years ago! OH has a couple of the graphic novels of it which are really good.

  • Would you say 13 weeks is too young to put a baby in a jumperoo? She can hold her head off the floor for long periods and has been bearing weight since 4 weeks. I'm keen to get her in it but don't want to hurt her spine!

We tested LO out in hers today just for a few minutes. I'd say she's a bit too young yet. Had to put a cushion under her feet as she couldn't reach the floor even though she's tall for her age. All she really did was stare at the parrot! She did seem to like being in there though - plenty of smiles :)

I really want to get one too!! I heard, however, that it's best to use it once she can sit down and support her back and head. Please let me know if it can be done before that, because I'm looking forward to it! :)

I think we had G in his around about 4 months - he could hold his head up but he wasn't sitting unaided, was fine in the bumbo and with a cushion behind him if that makes sense. He also needed a cushion under his feet at first, and it took him a few weeks before he really started bouncing rather than just sort of swaying and staring at the frog. Once he got the hang of it there was no stopping him!

We used ours from around 14/15 weeks I think :) he couldn't bounce right away and needed a cushion but he did like it :o

  • I'm convinced I've got a teething baby here already :(

She's struggling with feeds, drooling, chomping her thumb till it's red, has one flushed cheek, her daytime sleep is all over the place, and is grumpier than usual. I thought the bottle refusal (after drinking an ounce or two at best) was an indication that she needed the next stage of teats, but it's made no difference. Poor thing. She's only had four feeds today instead of her usual five, at this rate she'll only have two chins instead of three ;)

The teeth shift around in the gums even from birth, so it's quite possible she's feeling some pain. Freddie drooled and chomped for months before his teeth (two at the moment) appeared.

We have family and friends coming found this afternoon for Noah's party! I have just blitzed my house but have a feeling it won't stay that way for long with 14 under 10's running/crawling around!!
