Cake4Brains, banana can make some babies constipated, as can porridge in some instances as it's quite dense. I'd try some root vegetables like carrot and sweet potato, or butternut squash. Or to get things moving, fruit like apple and pear. Weaning poo is an adventure - you never know what you're going to find in those nappies! Pretty much anything is normal in the beginning, but things do eventually settle down as their digestive systems mature and get used to all the different foods.0

Just going to de lurk to pass on a bargain. Tesco in Warrington had Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Zebras reduced to £27. These are usually £59.99 in Mothercare. Hopefully other Tesco's have them reduced as well.
Had to buy one for my DD 1st Birthday Present even though she's only 13weeks old because at that price she NEEDS one.
Just waiting for the Jumperoo to be reduced to take up a little bit more space up in my living room.
Keep giving the good advice ladies it's a god send x

Yeah - they seem to be reducing the Fisher Price stuff at the moment - ours had the activity table in and some ballcano thing as well... but fairly well hidden under the Tesco Direct tables with the Argos-style catalogues on.

In the foreword, he says it goes after Wizard and Glass and before Wolves of the Calla - so it's kind of DT 4.5. Are you a Dark Tower fan? I really hope you say yes, I love them!
I've not read any! But I am a Stephen King fan. I like all the apocalyptic stuff like The Stand and Under the Dome. I'm looking for something new to get into so I shall try the Dark Tower ones"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

How and when do you find time to read when you have a baby that won't nap and feeds every two hours at night?I haven't even opened a book since LO was born!

Ok, just a quickie.
we were talking about explosive poo nappies. I have used huggies and they leak wee, Pampers and they leak poo, yesterday i went to the new asda in town and bought the little angels nappies- yes, maybe cos im a marketing sucker saw the mother and baby prize for product of the year either 2012 or 2013 and decided to give them a try tho i like pampers.
J has done so far 3 poos, the explosive ones and these nappies did not leak any of it,3 times checked her clothes and they are perfectly fine. they may not be fancy, thin like pampers but they do their job well.
I bought the size 1 as i use Pampers newborn size 1. My fav Pampers nappies are the baby dry so can not wait to compare them in the future.
We use Asda own brand and have found them far better than Huggies or Pampers. I know every baby is different but we found both the Huggies and Pampers both leaked for us (poo and wee) and we've had no problems since using the Asda Little Angels. Cheaper and I found them lovely and soft too.0 -
Fluff you won't regret it, they are awesome. And I'd you are already a King fan, be prepared to be amazed at how bloody clever this man is, he is an absolute genius!! Don't read this one at the 4.5 point though, read the normal 1-7 and then read this one after.0

Thanks Nutella, I think I will give carrot a go tomorrow. I was worried thinking maybe I have started them too early, they're 19wks now. They're definitely ready though. Amelia tried to take a bite out of my sandwich the other day! When the HV came last week she said give puree a whirl and see how they get on, which surprised me cos I thought they were against trying before 6 months
Ahhhhhhh the good old days of newborn babies and lots of books! I would have a baby on each b00b and my kindle in hand and read for a few hours each night when we co-slept. I miss that so much :rotfl::j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0
